OMG!!! That's almost unbelievable. Who do they think they are?

Golf was on my mind since a man came out of our wooded path behind me as I was walking my dog holding a GOLF CLUB.

Scared me to death, but he walked past me. Huh? A friend of mine in CA told me some men do walk around with a "weapon" like a golf club for safety. I never in my life heard of this!

That must have been scary. Out here it is always a good idea to carry a club with you if you hit an errant shot because the rattlers are going to start coming out of hiding. I have hit many errant shots in my life and have yet to see a rattler.

Even at those prices the courses are packed up through the end of Spring Training. Cubs fans from Chicago come here for the month to drink, play golf and watch the Spring Training games !

The weather has been WOW! Over the weekend, we hit 9 degrees during the day and at night (real feel) 20 below zero. Monday we were in the 50s. Down to mid 40's today and up to 60 on Wednesday, but with rain. Real feels pretty much the same as the actual temps.

We don't have Ice today..tho' we did have it the last 2 mornings. We've got thick fog today...which part of England are you , Lady ?

When DH & I take our dog and baby grandson in the stroller, we have a short, sturdy hockey stick (maybe 3') laid across the top of the stroller. Coyotes and other wildlife that are typically nocturnal hunters and/or human-shy have become bolder and are sometimes seen during the day.

This happened in the suburbs not far from where I live. You can see the attack 30 seconds into the news video.

Plenty of Dodger fans drift your way for Spring Training, too! :cool:

Truth be told, I greatly prefer ST games to regular season. The venues are gorgeous, the crowds are fewer and in better moods (most are vacationing or retired or both), and the players are more relaxed and accessible.

Phoenix is a lovely area.

It is currently 61 degrees. Total sunshine. It is beautiful outside. Southern Nevada. Expecting total sunshine, (w/ just a few passing clouds) over the next 10 days.
 
It was very warm today, but not record-breaking warm. It isn't going to get cool tonight at all...61F.

The heat is off until the cold front blows through sometime tomorrow. It's not exactly A/C weather, but the bedroom ceiling fan has been turned on so that it won't be too warm to sleep.

Gotta wonder if we're gonna pay for this mild weather. Like...are we still gonna get an ice storm or some sNOw this season?
 
28deg.F now, and snowing. Supposed to get 3-6" by tomorrow afternoon, Have to snowshoe up to the other house tomorrow evening to shut off the well pump, and then drain all the pluming in our house, and shut down the heating, and most of the electrical in the house and the shop as we are leaving for Arizona Friday morning.

43 F today, gentle wind-not a bad day. Tomorrow is supposed to be 60 something but with rain and windy. Really hasn't been a bad Winter. Knock on wood 😅
