Is it just my imagination, or is the weather getting more severe every year? More unseasonable too. Gets too warm too early and everything starts blooming, then too cold and kills things.

After the heavy snow the other day, today was a sunny 6C and all the snow is melting.

They are pretty far back from the house but luckily missed the shed. That big one was dead anyway, so not surprised it went. It's too bad about the little one though. It was an integral part of the "squirrel highway" through the area. I've seen a few that climb to the top of the broken off part, look confused and climb back down.

They'll establish a new route, using the downed ones, and then, those eventually will be moved;
But we don't worry about their abilities to find yet another new route after that!

Tuesday (yesterday) was quite windy, so much so that it rattled the vent in the bathroom (and I'm on the first floor). That's usually how I can tell how windy it is. But I also could hear the wind outside our patio door. The high was 46. Today's high is forecast to be 48 and it's supposed to be windy again with gusts up to 35 MPH.
