2023 - How's the Weather Where You Are?

partly sunny day here temps in the mid 50's
Last yr at this time we were buried in snow due to the blizzard,snow drifts were halfway up telephone poles. The driving ban here in the city was lifted 4 days later
 

Only a few days ago, it was a clear & colder stretch, like -8C or 17F in the early morning. Current trend makes it pleasant today. Temps will be above freezing.

We went from cloudy with some snow yesterday, to cloud with no precipitation last night, overnight temps being warmer (-1C, or 31F). But what would be good in this region now would be more snow especially up in the mountains, as a safeguard against drought and wildfires this coming summer.
 
Horrendous wind & rain, First problem was a leak somewhere round the kitchen window. I think it's some of the seal round the frame has failed, but I'll have to wait for dry weather to investigate. Then we had a power outage. I looked out candles and a camping stove, but fortunately the power came back after a couple of hours.

I think that's about the third storm we've had this winter.

yes the rain has been very heavy here too. I have the de-humidifier on in the barn and the sheds otherwise everything the freezers get soaked...

It's still very windy.. but no power outage yet or damage
 
Very dreary today because it's so overcast and it's been raining steadily since midnight. Pools of water everywhere but at least it's not snow! This time last year we were digging out big time! Would be nice to see some sun one of these days though.
 
Tonight we're getting some heavy rain.. It's been raining on and off all day The temps during the day were in the mid 40s. Tomorrow and Friday the highs will be 53 and 56 with more rain for the next three days! :confused: We've already had severe flooding in N.J., last week, so I hope all this rain doesn't cause more flooding!

Now thas what I'm talking about, ugly winter begins again. ugh!
