Big Thunder and lightening late yesterday afternoon. Heard sirens and firetruck horn shortly after. Torrential rain, but it moved out rather quickly.

More thunderstorms in later afternoon.

Local schools dismissed early several days this week due to the hot weather - I thought schools were air conditioned. They weren't when I was in school and we never had an early dismissal. I remember sitting in algebra class and feeling perspiration tricking down in some places.

Rained this morning.. being fairly dull this afternoon and now at 6pm the sun is blazing, 76 deg... typical British weather ... 3 seasons in one day

After a couple of heavy rain storms this morning, there was just over 1.5" in my rain gauge. Instead of refreshing the air, it just made it more muggy.

The weather was great today. It held steady at 23 degrees Celsius. Apparently it was perfect fishing weather. Here 2 of 5 fish my husband caught. These are about 15 inches, which are big for speckled trout.

Not as warm, but still muggy with a stiff breeze (which doesn't help cool it off). Under another heat advisory this afternoon and a severe storm watch.

Summer has definitely arrived here....highs in the mid to upper 90's for the past few days....even higher temps forecasted in coming weeks. I may have to start setting my alarm clock for 5AM if I want to go outdoors and do any serious work.

Finally - almost comfortable temps after an evening of off and on rain. The severe storms and tornadoes didn't materialize in my immediate locale, thank goodness. Almost a half an inch of rain in the gauge. Now I have to see about getting the lawn mowed.

Today has been thundering and lightening which I’m glad about ‘cause I’m burnt right out and all all plants needed watering anyway. The high was 20 degrees Celsius

Apparently going to be 80 for the next two days. I'll complain about that too.
