Hot and humid the past few days. The forecast says we may get some much needed relief starting tomorrow.

It's supposed to be around 108F for this week which is about average this time of year. Believe it or not, there is a big difference between the 115F temps we have been having and 108F

Still oppressively hot and humid. Heat index right now is 100F. We also have a heat advisory and a severe storm watch until 9 pm tonight. Forecast promises moderation in temperature and humidity by Thursday. I've heard that several times before this summer.

We actually received the storms that were predicted, but no tornadoes. There were a few rumbles of thunder, but no sizzlers. Heavy downpour for about 10 minutes. 1.7 inches (4 cm) of rain in my gauge, but as usual, did nothing to cool down the temps, only made more humidity. More storms predicted for this afternoon.

It’s 24 degrees out and we just finished having a short thunderstorm. We could hear the thunder as we were walking. The rain was lovely as well as the cool breeze that came with it.

It was raining so hard an hour ago, it looked like fog. It overwhelmed the gutters.

The rains the other day, flooded low-lying areas, and took out hydro power in some neighbourhoods. We were fortunate it didn't affect us, though we had to take a different route to pick up our daughter earlier today.

Three inches (7.6 cm) of rain in 2 days - 1.7" on Wednesday and 1.3 yesterday. Sunny and comfortably warm today.
