2024- the warmest year in recorded history.

'...in recorded history...'

How many years or centuries have they been recording temperatures on the scale we do now?

Considering the earth is about 500 million years old the last century is basically a hiccup in the life of the planet.

Blame it on China. They emit about 3x’s as much greenhouse gases as the U.S. does, but the U.S. is second.

China continues to build new coal-fired power plants, with construction activity reaching a 10-year high in 2024, despite its climate goals and efforts to transition to cleaner energy.

2024 was the warmest year in recorded history. It beat out 2023, which was the warmest. And that year beat out 2022, which beat out 2021. Glaciers are rapidly melting.
So, do you think global warming is BS?

I got a brain, so I have always believed in Global Warming. With that brain, I remember that horrible winter of 1958, when the snow was up to the roof of our one story ranch style house.

There’s no doubt that global warming is for real. Our winters are nothing like they were when I was a kid. We never had to go west or further north to go sledding, skiing or to go tubing. In my area, we have a few short mountains that usually make snow compared to a mountain like Aspen, or better known as Elk Mountains.

As I told someone here in a direct reply ......... I do believe the earth is warming/changing but. What can we do about it just now ? What is anyone willing to give up in an attempt to reverse it ?

Stop driving, ride a horse, walk, ride a bicycle ?

Give up your A/C and deal with summer the best way you can without it ?

When the icy grip of winter comes back, are you going to refuse to benefit from the power generated by N/gas , coal, from the power company ?

Burn your furniture and hope it is enough to last all winter. Then forage for more wood for the next winter ?

Well the coalfields in England were formed from tropical rainforests & in the 14th century they were growing grapevines as far north as Yorkshire so it must have been warmer in past times.
