It's going to be 36 F/ 2 C today, a bit cloudy and winds to 22 mph. Yesterday we hand winds climbing to 50 mph. I thought my deck was going to blow away.

The weather has warmed up quite a bit after a big cold flash. It’s only 2 degrees out right now. It also rained, making the roads a slushy icy mess.

The wind and waves has blown the ice over from the other side. I’ve never seen that happen. The wind has been wicked the last couple of days though.

Well, our “nice winter” has progressed into “average winter” with frequent sub-zero temps and snow total now pushing 4 ft or so. Hoping we don’t get to “ugly winter”. Cancelling a doctor appt tomorrow morning as I do not want to drive our old backup car in -20F. Last week, got a check engine light for O2 sensors while driving our main winter car in -18F and hopefully getting that repaired this week on Friday.

About another 2 inches of crusty snow overnight. There were some large solid chunks of compacted snow/ice at the end of the driveway where the street plow piled it up. That required some pounding to break them up. The BIG weather news today is high wind. About 10 minutes after I was done, it snowed again, but just a dusting. Many communities around here are also having "lake effect" squalls.

Woke up this morning to find that it had been snowing. This is nothing unusual for February, but we had snow round Christmas and New year which was unusual. It's starting to melt now and the forecast is for a warmer period over the next few days.
On the positive side, our new central heating boiler is working well so the house is quite cosy.

Wow, -38C (-36F) makes our -18F seem like picnic weather! But you get used to it - yesterday I grilled burgers at 0F.

Our high is 31F / -1C today with no chance of snow. It's going to be cold the next few days, but then start warming over the weekend, even climbing to the low 50's at the start of next week. I'm hoping I only need to get through this week and the cold weather will break, and stay broken.

We're having another snowstorm, with 7 or 8 inches expected by tomorrow morning, The temperatures will be staying well below freezing all week. Hopefully, this will be Winters last blast for this year.

It’s -10, feel like -24 with the windchill factor. Wind bursts up to 66 kilometres an hour. This wind blew snow around which was why we didn’t want to drive the car. Theres plenty of open road that is susceptible to snow drifts. These are ATv tracks behind our house in our backyard.

It's been very windy here the last day and a half or so. It's calmed down today, although wind gusts up to 39 MPH are forecast. It's also very cold. The high is only 27F with a real feel of 20.

It is miserable out there. Snow is blowing sideways.The big kitchen windows are already iced up. A thin layer of clear ice everywhere and covered with fluffy snow on the patios.
Each bird feeding is about six cups and I am on #3 at 2:30.
Waiting for it to hit -30 around 6:00.
