2025 - How's the Weather Where You Are?

well a number 4/5 cyclone passed by a few days ago and now WW is half empty of goods including my favourite foods. but I survive - we've had a few aftermath heavy storms but now it seems to be calming down - we just got the tail? I have a 50-60 foot boab tree standing 12 feet away from my front porch if that comes down I gotta move fast.

but those beast rarely can be toppled unless you have a giant chainsaw [usually not allowed] we never shun the rain but people do get badly flooded out - its a country of extremes in a way but I think the snow has vanished in the snowfields over east - did you know we had skiing resorts in OZ? so heat rain and skiing all in one breath

My son does not live in North Carolina he lives with me in New Jersey. Perhaps you thought he lived in NC because I said in another thread that a friend of his was in a Walmart down there and told him about an incident . He'll be in Chicago for another 3 days to attend a conference..

He's been talking about moving south for a few years. I'm going to send him a screenshot of the weather map showing that the weather is just as cold or colder down there than it is up here. For more than a decade I felt the weather patterns would shift so that the south would be just as cold as we are and I told him this.

There is exodus from the North based on weather but as others have pointed out there is no Shangri la but not dealing with snow especially ice is real nice .

Well, where is that? Lately, it seems like much of the country is being hit by snow and ice. The bad thing about it happening down south is that people don't know how to drive in it. My step daughter used to live in Atlanta. She grew up here. She told me and my husband that they got one inch of snow down there and people lost their minds. There were accidents all over the place. My BFF lives in southern Florida; we talk almost daily. Her brother lives the next town over from me. She often asks about our weather. More than once, she's told me it was warmer up here than down there. Sometimes we're in the same range.

Hey pretty lady. I saw in another thread that you said you hope its okay if you pop in sometimes (or words to that affect).
I can't find the thread now and didn't respond to it then because I was on my tablet and hate typing responses of more than a couple of words on it. And the speech to text thing on the tablet is just bizarre. Anyway...it's always good to "see" and "hear" from you, no matter when. 🤗
