2025 - How's the Weather Where You Are?

13C (56F) .. mostly sunny today. We're going for a drive, down to The Danforth (also known as "The Danny", or "Greektown"). I hope to see some dogs being walked 🐶🐕

I moved here to Pensacola not too long ago and now that I am all settled, I have started looking for a boat to put into the Gulf of America and perhaps run it into the Caribbean Sea.
My parents had a condominium in St. Petersburg Florida which is very close to Pensacola. It’s a lovely area.

Actually, the two cities are about 500 miles apart. Both cities are beautiful with both being on the Gulf. I flew while in the Marines and flew in and out of MacDill AFB while on training exercises. MacDill is about 20 miles from St. Pete. In many cases, we had to fly over the Gulf and not through Tampa, even though it was a shorter route, mainly because of the Tampa airport being a very busy commercial airport. If we would have flown over Tampa, it would have disrupted commercial air traffic.

Yes! I checked that out afterwards. It’s quite a distance. Not close at all. How long were you in the military ? It sounds like you did a lot of flying back and forth. I know my husband was in the military and did a lot of flying also.
