2025 - How's the Weather Where You Are?

We had to abort our plans while we were out, due to snow/hail/rain mix. It became too slippery to drive.
It's -2C right now.

Tomorrow, it's supposed to be 18C. We have plans to take daughter & her Corgi, Abbi Nutmeg, out for a long drive out in the countryside.

More mild than it's been, but had two thunderstorms - one around 11 pm last night and again around 7am this morning. I heard the rain pelting down, there must have been significant because there a low area down the street that looked like a small lake this morning. I just put my rain gauge back outside, so I missed getting a reading on that precip, but weatherunderground says 0.68 inches (1.7 cm).

Anyone know how Nashville did last night ?

As of the 3:00 PM Thursday news:

Still under severe weather alert and more flood warnings. Flash flood and river flood.

Nashville itself is fine, it’s surrounding areas that are at risk.

If you have plans to visit, wait until this next round of storms pass and the creeks & rivers have had time to recede. There have a,read been way too many people trying to drive thru high water, found themselves stranded and calling for help as their car(s) start to float away.

Selmer, TN (on the western edge of Middle Tennessee) had two tornadoes come thru last night. An entire mobile home community was wiped out. To-date I think there are six deaths.

Past couple of days lots of impressive thundershowers, lightning. Didn't see any sign of tornadoes, though the possibility for same was forecasted.

Pepper, my dog, gets a little anxious during thunderstorms and stays glued to me throughout.

Those storms have passed, I think, and while it's still cloudy and gray, I'll wait till things calm down and the ground dries out a little bit before getting the ladder out and cleaning out the downspouts -- they're pretty clogged with dead leaves.
