2025 - How's the Weather Where You Are?

It's been cooler than usual this Spring at least until yesterday when I was wishing I'd worn shorts on a walk. Should be cooler for a few days at least. Even when it is cooler than usual I am still grateful to just need another layer. When it is too warm to work outdoors I feel more badly affected.

Having a very stormy morning today. The sky is black, and the thunder is rather loud.
Those’shelf’ clouds have been hanging around lately.

In general, it’s cool and breezy so far this month.

A few hours later …. and the sky is blue and sun is peeking out!

Those shelf clouds remind me of the desert sky in Phoenix, when we would have dust storms that looked scary…Haboobs

@PeppermintPatty -
what the weather people tell us about the formation of those shelf clouds, is that they don’t “usually” have anything to do with a tornado.
What they do often bring is hail of all sizes.
The clouds don’t spin like tornado clouds do … They just kind of sit there and move slowly…. and look so darn scary!

I love your pictures by the way …… do you ever get those shelf clouds in stormy weather up there?

Thats interesting
They DO look darn scary. It’s a great picture.
I’ve never seen clouds like that and we’ve been through tornados before. Scary stuff.

Last couple of days, we've had dense Fog in the morning.
We're close to the Cumberland River, so get fog sometimes.
Went out on the deck and enjoyed my morning coffee surrounded.
Reminded me of some mornings when we lived in East Anglia, UK.

It finally quit raining. Hopped on the riding mower and got the grass mowed while the gittin was good. :D
Well most of it anyways. I still have standing water in the lower yard by the fence row. Ive learned not to push my luck.
Last time I did I got stuck big time and had to pull the mower out with a come along and a spud bar.
Me and the mower both looked like we went mudding. :D

A beautiful Spring day. Timw to go out and tell the tomatoes some bawdy jokes. Maybe they will blush. I have serious cravings for the first blt of the year.
