Middle Tennessee has been staying “weather aware” and although cooler-than-normal temps, the humidity is high.
To-date Middle Tennessee has had 21 confirmed tornadoes , which is more than the entire year of 2024. Last night, there was a radar spotted (and unexpected) spin-up less than 15 miles from me. Thankfully it stayed in the air.
Straight line winds occur often and can cause as much or more damage.
Nothing anyone can do except stay prepared, watch the sky, the critters behavior, and keep going about one’s business.
it’s 4:00 AM and while only 65°, the humidity is 96%, and the dewpoint is 64°. Hi tomorrow will only be 78° and we may reach 80° by the end of the week. A nice temperature but not nice to be outside doing work, when the humidity & dew points are so high.
