2025 - How's the Weather Where You Are?

Three days of "atmospheric river" action forecast for the west side of the Cascades here in the Pacific NorthWET. lots of flooding predicted for coastal rivers. Fortunately winds are supposed to remain moderate.
Yeah. We have a relative in Seattle and we've been watching the news on the storm. We see that there is not much left of Mount Vernon (WA), a town we are familiar with. Hopefully, people will stay safe regardless of their property.
Meanwhile, in Chicago area, we will have two days of below 0 wind chill.

Having a warm spell. 59F (15C) for a low this morning and now it's 74F (23C) at 12:40 pm.

A cold front is supposed to come through tomorrow which is expected to drop temperatures into the 20's F for Monday morning's low.

Expecting a plowable snowfall tonight into tomorrow. Temperatures are going to drop into the teens tonight and 20’s tomorrow
I wouldn’t mind seeing a little snow. Our home in Florida is just sitting there with no one in it. I tried talking my wife into spending just one Christmas down there, but no dice. She won’t budge. She’s all about being a traditionalist,

I want to go down right after the first of the new year and my grandson wants to go along, so we two men will certainly enjoy a little male bonding and maybe fishing, I hope.

13* F.......solid overcast with bruise gray cloud cover but no wind. Very light snowfall and no accumulation expected.
Tonight a low temp of 5* F is forecast. Tomorrow we're told to expect a high temp of 30* F.
All those temps are above zero in the Fahrenheit scale. This time of year at this location it could be below zero.........

At 2pm PST is sunny calm 57F, the high for this Saturday that is 2F below normal. This evening may drive north to one of two live music clubs where temperatures are forecast to be a 47F. Both places chilly enough, I may not bother leaving my residence. After a very wet October thru mid November, it has been dry. Next week, some weak balmy storms arrive that if they are as forecast, will add a minor amount to what so far has left a minimal base at Tahoe ski resorts, keeping this person away.

I woke up at 5:30 this morning to 17° with the feels like a 4°. Now that doesn’t sound too bad if you’re somewhere 10 hours further north, but it is bad when you live below the Mason-Dixon line and our normal December temperatures for the day are in the 50° range.

Maybe we will get above freezing today and maybe we won’t. The weather is going to tank again tonight but supposed to have a considerable warm-up on Monday and keep warming up from there, to where we get back up to what is normal temperatures for us in December.

I went to the barn with five layers of clothes this morning. The top layer being my son‘s goose down ski jacket from when he was in ski club years ago in high school. Yes I still have it. It’s just like brand new.

My house faucets are still on the drip cycle, and I still have the electric space heater turned on. I have hydrant spigots down at the barn, but they drip and will freeze after use, so theyare still under wraps and insulated. I brought the feed pans up to the house to wash them, because I do not want to mess with undoing all the insulate wrapping I did on those spigots.
