You're really doing it...that's great.
Keep up the good work!
Thank you. I’m feeling so much better
I stopped eating fruits. The fructose did me in. Now I balance the fruit with ginger and some type of protein/ fibre - flaxseed, hemp hearts etc and not having any negative effects.
I brush my teeth after. The vitamin c is doing wonder for my auto immune disorders.

I’m even planning Christmas so I don’t over eat. I’m going to make some gf gingerbreads with coconut sugar and molasses. These have some nutritional value. No empty calories for me any more.

Thanks for the support

Merry Christmas everyone.
Today I am having pomegranate/ lemon/ ginger smoothie.

Something to consider while making smoothies and using lemons . Lemon juice can strip your tooth enamel so use straws while drinking and save your teeth.

I have a party pack of straws

Generally I don’t normally like kale but I think I’ll try it in these smoothies. I bought the immersion blender so I can freeze coconut milk and use frozen fruit like mango, pineapple, strawberries or other fruit. I’m determined to lose weight. Going off meds isn’t an option. Luckily I like spinach.

I forgot about this delicious thread.
I dry kale and other greens in my dehydrator then powder them.
I add that to smoothies and I promise you won't taste it as you only add a tsp or so. No gritty leaves either.
I just showed my neighbor that and she's now a fan.

Have you tried Time Restricted eating?

I always wondered about a dehydrator. Do you have a link to the one you use? I really like that idea. What I generally do is make a nice smoothie and ruin it with the greens. I just add too much.

I was successfully doing intermittent fasting and was losing weight. This statement isn’t a complaint but my husband has become a good cook since he retired and is constantly asking me if I want food. He also buys $ store chocolate bars. I swear he prefers me chunky. IMG_4139.gif

Anything and everything. You might be best looking ‘food detox’ up.
Thank you Patty. I really need to detox from sugar and starchy carbs. But I'm a lazy cook, so will not buy those ingredients and make the smoothies. The only smoothies I make are the mango smoothies. The three ingredients and frozen mango chunks, whipped cream and Splenda. I freeze the smoothies so they become mango sorbets. The pictures of the smoothies in your OP look good though.

Detoxing from sugar and carbs(?) , you’d need to detox from the smoothies you make. 🤣They are more like a dessert than a healthy smoothie. Then again, it’s a healthier dessert than most so don’t let my words stop you.

Some men do like meat on the bones. Nothing wrong with that. 😊 But, you have to be happy.
I have two round dehydrators. They're old and basic. One is a Nesco. No temp adjustment. I don't like that. I use it for certain things.
The one I like better is an American Harvest. Its round with tiers of trays and you can adjust the temp.

Smoothies, shakes, have been getting a bad rap because they say you don't get the same fiber as eating the whole fruits and veggies.
Maybe so but smoothies are delicious and nutritious and aid in weight loss. Get your fiber somewhere else. Maybe use berries instead of tropical fruits. Add flax meal or chia. Just make it delicious.
Buttermilk!!!!!!! So fricken delicious in a smoothie.
Last, if you're concerned, I agree, have the smoothie as dessert. It has to be better for you than cheesecake. Oh, chocolate smoothie!
I made a mix of cocoa, malt powder, and erthrytol to add for a chocolate one.
PB2 for peanut butter flavor without the calories.
If you're still concerned have a smoothie bowl with greek yogurt and fixins and call it a day! 😊
That's what I'm eating right now.
