A south Pacific cruise endured 3 days of bullying and brawling before the culprits were let off in an Australian port. A 23 member family seems to be the culprit.

Sounds like an absolute nightmare.

Cruise ships need to allocate space to an old fashioned brig like the Leonid Sobinov, a Russian cruise ship that used to take Australians cruising in the Pacific. Any misbehaviour on that ship resulted in confinement in the brig and you would be put off at the next port where you would have to make arrangements to get home at your own expense.

The result? Passengers behaved well at least until the last night when things tended to get a little rough.

And I bet they have to find their own way home. When we took our cruise, if we missed the departing time...tough. You payed your way back.
