3 years prison for raping and impregnating 13 year old girl

This is disgraceful. He's going to be eligible for Parole in ess than 2 years.. and even if he doesn't get it he'll be out in 3 years anyway

The woman who will be in her 40's now, has had not only to suffer the abuse at the time, but live with the horror of it for 3 decades, then go through the hell of a court case and all that leads up to it.... for him to be eligible for Parole in 2 years ?... something very wrong with the system...

This is the kind of sentencing that stops victims coming forward

I usually am not in favor of vigilante law, but in instances like this, I have known of fathers
to take matters in their own hand and dealt out justice and were later found not guilty in court.

Later, I have said “I don’t blame him.” What’s a dad supposed to do? I know the correct answer is to let the law handle it, but then you get into a situation like this one and everyone agrees this was not justice.

Matthew 18:6 explains it best.

Crime against property is always treated worse than crime against a person. It's wrong, but it's a fact.

I heard it once said, "If you're going to steal a woman's purse, you might as well rape her while you're at it because the rape is free." Chilling, but true.

I once saw two stories side-by-side in the newspaper; one was about a woman who was sentenced to 7 years in prison for "coupon fraud" and the other about a man released on parole after 2 1/2 years in prison for his part in the rape of a woman who was left for dead and the killing of her two young daughters. Compare those two cases and tell me which crime the judicial system thinks is more heinous.......

When you impregnate someone, you should be legally required to make monthly payments for 18 years for all costs associated with caring for and raising that child. If you cannot or chose not to take that responsibility, you should be put in jail until you are welling to get a job and pay accordingly. While in jail, any money you earn will automatically go to support the child. End of discussion...it is your child; you have to take responsibility!

Says more about agendas of some politicians that place such people into judicial positions. Urban California counties have been strangled by such appointments.
Sorry to go off topic for a moment, but strangely as I was driving this morning, the song “I Lost My Heart In San Francisco” by
Toney Bennett was playing and I remember walking the streets downtown, on Nob Hill, Chinatown, the Financial District, Fisherman’s Wharf etc. and as I listened to the words, I had to think that this song doesn’t match with the pictures I see of the city today.

Please try to remember that the majority of people who live from the Silicon Valley borders northwards to the Wine Country and eastwards to Contra Costa County borders, DWARFS the tiny city of San Francisco. And yes, a whole lot of us have homes with gorgeous views - hillside, valley, and bay/ocean views. Scenic views are literally, almost everywhere in the SF Bay Area.

One can walk across San Francisco as it's only 7x7 miles in half a day (I've done it). Out of 58 counties in CA, SF county is #58 in size. It is one of the rare cities that is also a county, due to its geographic placement.

Also, tourists probably consider Chinatown "quaint" and "colorful". Chinese consider it a slum. It is almost exclusive populated by aging elders. Middle-class Chinese (like my in-laws) and Chinese Americans moved out decades ago, long before Tony Bennett sang that song.

Living in coastal CA is very different than most areas, but not always in ways one might expect.

We could constantly get adds on tv for save the children ….it mentions MARRIED …..

11 and 13 year old girls with children ..

( the same practice / without marriage …is happening in Australia ) altho authorities are cracking down on certain religions / nationalities

But there is never any mention of where the “ husbands“ of the girls to support them and their tribe of kids …..in my eyes that’s rape as well :eek:grown men marrying Children

A recent case was on the news. More info can be found from the link with a short video clip.

Oklahoma man arrested after 11-year-old stepdaughter gives birth; mother charged with enabling abuse

An Oklahoma man was arrested and charged with child sexual abuse after his 11-year-old stepdaughter gave birth at their home in Muskogee.

Dustin Walker, 34, and Cherie Walker, 33, were arrested last week and originally charged with one count of felony child neglect each after the child gave birth to a full-term baby at home on Aug. 16, court records show. The parents initially claimed they did not know the child was pregnant, and the child had not been to the doctor in over a year.

The charges were amended Monday after DNA test results revealed that the stepfather was a 99.9% DNA match for the baby's father, according to the test, which the Muskogee County District Attorney's Office shared with NBC News.

Castration prevents pregnancy but does it prevent rapes?
Castration is a reactive solution to ensure that the male does not do it again.
There are a hell of a lot of males out there who will rape.
Can not be stopped unfortunately. And as this sentence shows, even when convicted, piss poor sentences.
There was a case here in Australia where a civil servant allegedly raped an office worker.
Case went to trial, trial was aborted because one of the jurors broke the rules by searching the case online.
No finding was made against the perpetrator.
Justice Michael Lee found that, on the balance of probabilities, Bruce Lehrmann raped Brittany Higgins.

He gets away with it because of the juror breaking the rules.

There doesn’t seem to be any standardized sentencing for raping a 13 year old girl!
If you search you will see where one guy gets ten weekends in jail and another gets three life sentences.
Others get 10-15 years.
Most people in the little town knew that this fat kid was weird but never would have guessed that he would grow up and get married and then molest his baby girl.
As weird acting as Larry was it was still a shock to find out he was in prison for that.
You just don’t want to believe that someone you knew would be capable of something like that and it raises the question of how does a grown man even have sex with a baby. JUST SICKENING!!

Castration (either chemical or by removing of the testicles) does not completely stop the possibility of further rapes.
It stops most part of the testosterone production (95 per cent) which leads to decreased libido and the ability for an erection.
But about 5 per cent of the testosterone is produced in the adrenal cortex.
And if the patient stops taking pills for chemical castration or after removing the testicles takes testosterone his libido will increase and so will the capability for an erection.
A really safe method would only be castration and penectomy. The first kills the libido, the second the use of his 'instrument'.
