This is on tap to be the worst and snowiest March on record. Just when it seemed we were ready to welcome spring, the temps were rising and the trees budding, we're scheduled to be slammed with yet another monster storm which will drop snow in feet instead of inches. Some are still without power from the 1st storm almost 10 days ago. Flights have been cancelled and train service between Boston and NY. Public transportation has also been impacted and will not be running as normal, just when some may need it most. Everyone is being advised to stay in and stay off the roads. If I go MIA you'll all know why. I am so ready for spring this year.

I've been hearing about those terrible storms on the news Chic, hope you stay warm and stay safe. Glad you still have your power.

Thank you Seabreeze. We're getting three inches an hour. We're going to be buried before this is done. So far my power is on, but with high winds and heavy wet snow, who knows what will happen. No one has gone to work or anywhere,(the Governor wants people staying home). so I cooked this morning, If we lose power I can let it come to room temp and at least eat. This is a really bad weather pattern we're in. Thanks so much for caring about us up here in the Northeast. We appreciate your good wishes and prayers.

I hold all those affected in my heart, be safe. ❤️

We have been getting snow, too, on the tail end of the Nor'Easter. It's not nearly as bad as you have though. I hope Spring comes soon, too!

So far, nothing here in Maryland. In fact, the sun is shining brightly right now, which seems strange to me, as I'm still adjusting to daylight savings time.

Thanks everyone. We've got about 20 inches of snow. I still have power, thankfully. Lots of trees are down everywhere. It's the most depressing month of March I can ever remember. What happened to spring? Meteorologists are talking about yet another Nor'easter for next week. I can't bear it. Your well wishes have been most welcome. It helps to be remembered during catastrophic weather events and I do thank you all for your kindness. It helps us all up here to get through it.

Peace and hugs from - Chic.

No, please not another one!

Glad your power stayed on Chic. My town in CT dodged a bullet, only about 4 or 5 inches and it melted on the pavement.

Chic, keep your spirits up:), you will get through it. Spring is right around the corner, just running a little late :love_heart: Peace & Take Care

Glad to hear your power is still on. Is your water-heater gas or electric ? How about your furnace ? gas or electric ?Please don't say you can't take it . I'm sure you are tougher that you give yourself credit for. Have you made plans for candles etc for some light if the power does go out ? New batteries for a radio ? Cell phone fully charged at all times ? Remember, much body heat is lost through the top of the head. A knit cap works wonders. Take care.

One of the worse snowstorms that I ever took off in was at Boston Logan back in 1993. We thought for sure that the airport would be closed. As I turned onto the runway, the ATC reported that the visibility was less than 100 feet with winds at 30kts. and gusting to 48kts. We were flying to LA and hoped to just get off the ground. We had just been deiced at the end of the taxiway, made our turn onto the runway and then was told by ATC, “United 231 Heavy, Cleared for takeoff. Runway 4 Right.” The runway was fairly clear, so we were really not worried about skidding off the runway. Once we lifted off, we did a steep climb and got above the clouds as soon as we could.
