Anthony Nelson’s one-man capsule Stardust One crashes into a deserted island in the South Pacific. Nelson discovers and opens a mysterious bottle to find a beautiful genie who had been trapped inside for 2,000 years. Neither character’s life would ever be the same again: Jeannie places herself back into her bottle, rolls into her new master’s duffle bag and heads back with him to Cocoa Beach, Florida. The show ran for 5 seasons and became one of the 20th Century’s most beloved TV shows.

One of our families favorites back then, Ken. There is a I Dream of Jeannie street in Coacoa Beach, Fl were it was suspose to have taken place. He was stationed at Patrick AFB, on A1A, between Coacoa and Palm Bay.

Cocoa Beach - that's where you can catch chocolate fish. And you can catch radioactive fish if you use a nuclear fission pole. A little local humor....

Funny thing is - it was supposed to take place in Cocoa Beach but was actually filmed at Edwards AFB in California. Major Nelson's home was really filmed at the Warner Ranch in Burbank. The entire cast and crew only visited Florida twice during the series.

I also believe there was some uproar at first about Jeannie's bippy top - that it was too reveling for prime time TV ...
