I do like to see what looks like new tyres in your first photos. I don't know what it is -- some kind of automotive fetish, perhaps. Did I mention rubber? I'm now not sure I really want to think about it too much

I was talking about tyres, but I appreciate your creative interpretation. After nearly four decades in automotive engineering, my mind was on the etymology of the word I used rather than anything anatomical

You got it. Shelby was a giant when it came to speed.
Even more impressive was Ken Miles' 0-100-0 Record:
A famous demonstration showed a 427 Cobra accelerating to 100 mph and braking back to zero in a mere 13.2 seconds on a cement surface.
