6 ft. Of SNOW June 14th

I've never had to shovel two feet of heat and humidity out of my driveway so I could go to work.

I had to wring myself out day and night when in Louisiana.

Snow is at least pretty

A sweaty bearded dripping wet Caucasian, not so much

Those photos of snow ARE pretty, Gary...and no mosquitos:winter1:

We get sunshine and heat and guess what..no mosquitoes... Did anyone see anybody swatting mozzies when they watched the royal wedding..?..Nope...

unlike Southern Spain where I'm flying to tomorrow...ugh!! the mozzies drive you mad sometimes... especially after the rains

That is some really bad weather, we get surprising
weather, ever since the BBC started getting its
weather data from a New Zealand company!

Mike.

Was eating at Dennys last Sunday and the TV was on the weather channel and there was a winter storm warning being posted,I just assumed it was an old show being streamed, lol it was Alaska...
I don't think "the snowbelt " where I live in NYS gets snow in June...

I've taken so many snow pics, I'm rather numb to them, but...sometimes. I just lower the camera to my side, and take it in.
One can wake to it all, step outside, and gaze, not realizing their mouth is open.

Keesha, you take the good with the bad in such a beautiful country as Canada....late snow, small price to pay. :) Even though the folks at the lodge are inconvenienced, I did notice the big smiles on their faces. :D

Your post made me think of the year without a summer.

The year was 1816 following a volcanic eruption at Mount Tambora in 1815.

Take a look!

This is a travesty! Devastating even.

Is that snow actually near you keesha?....If it is, how do you cope with snow and ice 75% of the time..don't you get depressed... ?...I would for sure...lol
No hollydolly and other members. This is in Newfoundland , Labrador area which is the far east of Canada. My husband was there last week for ten days. His parents live there but he’s been trying to convince me to retire there with him. Not a chance. I have seasonal effective disorder and my entire being craves sunshine:sunshine:

Beautiful RaddishRose!

I feel the same way Gary. Some mornings my mouth is hanging open when I first look outside.
I had the most beautiful winter scene of our front yard but I must have deleted it.

No that’s not where I live, thank goodness.
This was taken 2 minutes ago but thanks all the same Seabreeze.
I’m getting ready to justify not moving out east when he retires.
Im good here. 6059FB8B-6ACE-4F1F-8E36-C97425B062D7.jpg

I've seen your pictures Keesha, and I didn't mean you personally, maybe I worded that wrong. I meant the Canadians in general that live in the areas that receive heavy snows, I know not all of Canada is like that, we've spent some time camping in Canada, but it wasn't in winter. Beautiful scenery and wildlife, great fishing!

Right. I remember you mentioned you went camping up here. Was it in Algonquin Park perhaps?
There are many beautiful provinces here in Canada. I’ve traveled out east to the ocean three times and traveled out west to the ocean but I’ve never been to Labrador which is where this snow is.

The scenery is beautiful and there is a lot of good fishing. That’s true but been to many of the states and you people have some gorgeous scenery also. We are so fortunate, aren’t we.
