6 letter word challenge

I think we're "caught" in a loop. It will amount to "naught." But many times, we've been "taught."

On the other hand, probably no one can think of a word to follow Catgut. So, what do we do? Probably award the gold medal to Repondering?
And invite him to start with a completely new word? 😁

Wait a minute!!! Sooooo your saying that taught not a word ? OYE !!!
No, I'm saying that taught was already used, three words earlier. See #12,675. That's why I said we're in a loop. We could keep going around in circles forever.

I'd like this game to continue as well. And starting with a new word has been suggested.
May I take the liberty of submitting this one?.....it should have many possible re-combinations:

Hither......

Guttae is Latin. Words in this game have to be English, I thought.
I think Chic started this game originally, but after the forum's software change, I restarted it in 2019.
I don't remember seeing anything about 'only English words'.
I would have thought that any 'genuine' words could be used, especially if we're in a Loop de Loop.....
