Yesterday was my last lesson with the Sunday School class until the beginning of February and we had a bit of a party and handed out some presents. I commended them for being special people, which is absolutely true, and reminded them that they are put on this earth for a purpose which is to be a blessing to others. Christmas giving in its purest form is the giving of ourselves without expectation of anything in return.

If people think of me as having been a blessing to them at key times in their life then I will count my life meaningful and I will be content.

I am not religious, Falcon, but between the opening and closing references to God, I thought this was excellent. Every statement true. We all really know these things, yet plunge ahead with blinders on until life..or death says "Pay attention!." Very good post. Thank you.
