I couldn't sleep last night so I went out for a coffee at my all-night Tim Horton's Drive -Thru. It was around 4:30 in the morning.
On my way home, a car about 100 yards behind me sped up super fast and pulled up adjacent to my car...just inches away...leaning into my lane on the right side of the road. Then the tinted car sped up again, cut me off and suddenly slammed on the brakes right in front of me. The car made me slow down to a crawl behind it...then it sped up again and turned right down a side street.
My worst fears tells me this was a gang dare or some kind of initiation. I felt I was lucky to not be the victim of a random drive-by shooting. Fortunately, there was another car about 50 yards up to my left that would have been a witness in case anything bad happened...which is why I think the car eventually left me alone.
I suppose I should have called the Police. I might still report this car later today although I didn't get a plate number. It was a harrowing experience for sure, and I don't rattle very easily.
