a check back with you all-

Good afternoon to all- I just finally have a free moment to type, so I figured I'd check back in with you.
After a flight back to Alabama, a loaded up van drive from Alabama across Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, and then Arizona, my wife and I are relocated here to Phoenix. Never expected to be living in an apartment again, but there you are.
Two very active grandsons every moment impress on me the reason folks our age don't normally have small children. I can't keep up like I used to- and I never could keep up with the kids, anyway.
I don't like big cities, but we're making the best of it.
So, we're still alive, and we're still in there fighting.
But I am tired.
good evening to all- Ed

Hi Ed. Glad you survived the move. Keep up the good fight!

Hi Ed,
Sounds like you have a little couple live wires there! Glad you're settled in, hope all continues to go well.

You'll be okay Ed, just take it easy and take care of yourself. I remember years back when I visited my sister, her daughter and grandkids, just being around them was intense, so much energy and constant "on the go". I remember coming home again and relaxing, with a great big sigh. You'll get used to it I'm sure, but I feel for you. Hugs to you and your wife, glad everything's okay.

Ed, glad to hear you are getting settled in. Yes, young grandkids will certainly wear you out. I'm just glad that you and your wife can be there for them and guide them in whatever way they may need.

Glad you made that long trip okay. You've made a big commitment but remember it's okay to have some boundaries too to take good care of yourselves. Let us all know how you adjust to life in Phoenix.

A woman in Spain just gave birth at sixty-two! Just think how tired she is going to be...
