A depressing thought about your age

You can easily calculate roughly how much time you have left by an hour, a day or a year. Depending on
how long you might live. If you are in the 70s and live until 80, then you have only minutes to the hour is up.
For a day you may have only hours to go before midnight. For a year, you are probably in December.

I just thought of this. But once you hit 90, chances actually rise that you will live longer.

I like knowing that I can choose the time if I want. Might sound counter-intuitive, but it motivates me to make the most of my time and appreciate it.
I am so hoping, morbid as it may sound to some, that more places will offer Assisted dying facilities, particularly the UK in my lifetime. I want to be able to choose when I die, and how.

Currently there are only 4 countries in the whole of Europe ( the UK is not one) who offer this and people have to pay a lot of money plus be in their sound mind, and healthy enough to be able to travel on a plane or train..or even car from another country..yet poorly enough to be accepted for assisted death...

There is the alternative of taking matters into your own hands. I have what I need to do that if I choose to.

I would love to have that myself in my back pocket so to speak.. but I dont and I wouldn't ever know what would be needed to do the job properly.. I wouldn't want any messy errors...
I am hanging onto all of my unused prescription painkillers. Hoping maybe that will work one day, but I don't really know. A legal option would sure be a lot better.

You're just a barrel of laughs aren't you, Mitch. No invitations to my parties.
Best to be realistic about who we are: just the same as all other living organisms. There is no "heaven," no "hell," and no "gods." We are just an accident of the particular sperm cell and egg cell which created us. When we die, we cease to exist along with all our pain and suffering.

I guess it could be comforting to have that sense of certainty. The only thing I know for sure, is that I don't know. Am I curious? of course, but not curious enough find out anytime soon. Let's stick around and have some fun. Mike

Adding a big handful of Rx muscle-relaxant would help prevent a person vomiting up the pain meds.
Well, I don't want to be left out of any morbid conversation, so......I'll just put this out there:
I don't like drugs & they don't always work reliably. But the Glock has a light 5.5 lb. trigger & is 100% reliable....... :ROFLMAO:
