This music always scared the crap out of me when the show ran on TV between 1959-1961. By the way, the original title of the series was Alcoa Presents: One Step Beyond. When it was cancelled, it was replaced with Alcoa Premiere. It bombed and didn't last a season.

Also in the 2nd season of The Outer Limits, the network (ABC) used this music for background music in each episode. It was to save money.

Been a long time since I listened to that one. Just noticed for the first time that as hearing the words "fought for American to make all Americans free" he's shooting an Indian... Not sure you could use it today.

Growing up I watched this show every day and even went there a few times.

I thought the same thing about shooting the Indian, but it was what it was.

"He fought for Americans to make all Americans free." Um... the Indians were indigenous, so they were the original Americans!
