My botanical knowledge is work in progress at which I do not work very hard. For me it is all for aesthetic enjoyment and a chance to be creative. I rely on friends to inform me so thank you for the clarification. Google agrees with you.

I don't know much about the flowers that I like....just that I like them!

Blandfordia Grandiflora flowers, aka Christmas bells, I love how festive they are.

Looking good between the rains, Zantedeschia aethiopica 'Hercules'. The leaves you see belong to Geranium maderense.

But it has pretty nice foliage too. It is one of the largest in its clan and has nice markings on its large leaves.

Another flower which would be insignificant because it is small if it weren't so boldly red with foliage the color of blue chrome is Melianthus pectinatus, a smaller version of "Honey Bush".

No flowers yet on these succulents: aeoniums and in the center one echeveria, but the color is wonderful.

It really caught my eye after the storms and it just looks so substantial.
