A flower a day ...

@MarkD i’m in S GA, so there’s plenty of warmth. And yet, this is one of the early blooms of spring; it grows wild in cascades on trees and rural fences. A very hearty plant

I'm growing Variegated Minima Asian Jasmine - Trachelospermum though I need to get a bigger pot for it now that I have it in full sun. Hopefully now I'll get some more of its more interesting variegation.

Took this picture of mine this morning.

My wife’s parents had these growing on one side their house. Their flowers easily reached up to the level where we would stay when we visited. Very showy aren’t they?
Yes the Rhododendron bushes are very pretty, however they are not meant to be planted next to a house.
The bushes were only knee high when I got here. There is one on each side of the porch.

They have very thick branches, they are starting to grow up against the porch. Eventually the bushes are going to teardown my railings.

I may need to have them taken out.

Added:
The bushes do not look as nice if they were to be trimmed down and in the back where the rail is.. I have other bushes in the back yard that are smaller...I may put Red Roses where these bushes are now.
