A ka-zillion dollars.

You wake up and you see that the Good Fairy has deposited a ka-zillion dollars in your bank account......what are a few of the first things that you would do ?

In no particular order I'd......

1. I would stay here in Oklahoma but I'd get a little bigger house outside of town on about 30 or 40 wooded acres.

2. Get mama a new SUV and me a new pickup.

3. Not that mama would particulary care for it :) I'd still purchase a new Honda Goldwing motorcycle.....during the warmer months I really miss the one I sold a few years back.

4. Get two or three medium to large (Lab size) dogs......mixed breed mutts would be fine.

5. Although we're not currently that close relationship wise I'd still setup large trust funds for my three grand kids.

6. After researching them, I'd donate a good amount to reputable organizations related to veterans and animals.

I'd like to spend some more time in the orient again but because I won't fly anymore that is pretty much off the list.

I would have a large estate with, a lake, working farms, steam train, a village, and the people to operate it all, set in the years before WWII.

I would make sure that all of my family members and a few friends had an adequate income.

I would eat pie everyday!

I would secretly donate money to help folks, sort of like the old TV show The Millionaire.

I would hire some darn good physicians to keep me alive so I could enjoy myself!

I would get down on my knees and thank that fairy everyday!

Take whatever measures to make certain no one and no organisation could get hold of any of it.

When it comes to charity, forget it.

Neither of us "do" charity, not even the RNLI which we used to support with a not insubstantial annual donation after we saw them send some boats bought for use round our shores to some dump in Africa that was flooded.

Obviously transfer some to kids and grandkids but not a great deal. People need to be challenged in life and not handed a free ticket.

Well, a ka-zillion ought to be enough to end world hunger, so I'd do that first.

I'd underwrite free medical and dental care for everyone in this country.

I'd provide college scholarships for bright but needy young people.

And I'd donate generously to environmental/sustainability causes.

Whatever was left over, I'd use myself for fun, such as a luxury cruise.

I would get the windshield replace in my truck, a paint job, and fresh upholstery.

I'd get the revolver in Ike's Avatar.

I'd get a cat, make it the executor of my estate, and have my dogs the sole beneficiaries.

I would stay right where I am now but make a ton of improvements on my home. New siding, new fence, porch, and shed, and a green house. Oh how I always wanted a green house! I would love to have someone come and do the yard work. I never minded it but by the time I get the weeding, lawn cutting and trimming done I am wiped out. I just want to spend all my time puttering in my garden and trying out new flowers and plants.. I would love to have more pets but realize at my age they would probably outlive me and if they don't I don't want to go through losing them. Instead, I would donate heavily to animal organizations but only after I have researched them thoroughly. Of course I would want my family members to be comfortable also. I'd love to be able to build my son a new shop for his cabinetry business that he needs badly. A cabin by a lake with a row boat would be great also.

Well after I woke up from passing out I would
Split the money with my family.
My son and daughter's families
My Sisters family
My Husbands family
Donate to charities

and just keep what ever me and my Hubby might need and at our age that wouldn't be too much.

I'm absolutely and unequivocally in agreement with Sunny on the first four!

Also a large donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital

Then, financial assistance and homes for my 3 family members who will all agree to rescue an animal.

Instead of the luxury cruise though, I'd want a 6 month luxury trip to Italy, Greece, Great Britain, France, Norway and Spain.

After that, a modest but tasteful and comfortable 3 b/r home for myself with a gay houseman, room for 4 rescued dogs, a cat or two and a very large fenced, treed and landscaped area for them with a large, ventilated dog house. I'd also want an extra cleaning person to come in once every other week.

A smallish, natural-looking pool would be nice.

Oh I guess I'll need a new car or maybe an SUV.

I'd get a new car and a much larger home where I can do yoga all day long and work in the garden, or create a zen garden and do yoga there. I'd care for my senior mom and buy her a new car. I'd help my relatives who need it and adopt some unwanted cats and dogs from the shelter. I'd enjoy myself hugely. Maybe travel a bit too.

My wife loves to cook. I think gutting a portion of our home to have a large kitchen would be 1st. Next our sons would have trust funds set up to cover their living expenses and health care for the rest of their lives. No need for a will since everything in the way of assets is already spelled out.

Out of a Ka Zillion I'm guessing a lot would be left over so whatever we didn't spend to enjoy whatever struck us as fun to do would be spent by our kids.

Like Warren Buffet the billionaire exotic or foolish hasn't been what were used to. Simple pleasures like a walk in the park feeding the birds offers a lot of joy. Only expense not needed now would be to hire legal representation to deal with claims and requests for money. All to often sudden wealth brings all kinds of people out of the woodwork.

I would likely move, where, I'm not sure, but at the moment, I'm stuck in religious hell.

A nice piece of land, where family and my bestest friend could live on if they so choose.

Speaking of churches, there are a few I would donate to, I'm not against what some churches offer, I just don't want to drown in the rhetoric of the fanatics who preach and promote hate. I have a special fondness for St. Vince De Paul, they will always have a special place in my heart. Good childhood memory and later in life as well.

I would probably employ a driver, I don't/cant drive anymore and since I have a ka-zillion bucks, this would be a practical solution.

My living quarters would be private, I absolutely would have a steam room, pool and anything else to do with water I could surround myself with that isn't outrages, but, would be relaxing and helpful toward lessening the pains in my body. If I could, I would have surgery to put gills on my body so I could stay under water. J/k :D

For sure those I love, would be taken care of, but, I'd still be careful how much info I would share, people get crazy where money is involved. Some already think I'm hiding my money somewhere. Right, I'm not that crazy, if I had money, I'd already at least have the driver.

Good health & Happiness
My grannie used to say "be careful what you wish for"!
She also was practical: Saying " wish in one hand & sh*t in the other & see which gets full first"!

Pay off the bills.

Set up the kids, and my brother and sister.

Tell the wife she can get that pickup she's always wanted.

Then rollover and go back to sleep.. :untroubled:

Hire a darn good Lawyer and Accountant.
Change my phone numbers.
Pay off all bills.
Take care of worlds kids and grandkids.
Invite everyone I know to my party in the islands. Please check your mail box for invites.
Have lawyer and accountant research charitable organizations to figure out who is worthy.
Sit back, kick feet up and work on my cap collection.

Hire a chef and a personal trainer.
Hire professionals to remodel the bathrooms, they are the only rooms left to redo, but man what a hassle.
Build an Olympic pool and pool house at our country club.
Book the tickets for the round-the-world-bucket-list trip I already have planned but not financed :).
Purchase a home near my grandkids who live 11 hrs away, so that I can go and be there for things like school events and minor holidays without interrupting their routine.
Hubby already has his dream "hobby" car, so I would buy mine.
Substantially increase our contributions to the grandkid's 529 college accounts.
Take quarterly trips with the whole family.
My husband has always said he would go to a fat farm, but he's doing so good on healthy changes, that he doesn't need too anymore.
Take a long weekend every month or so to go to some event, like the Kentucky Derby, Barbara Streisand concert, see a Broadway play, enjoy the Smithsonian(s) and cherry blossom festival in Washington, DC, Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, 4th of July fireworks in Boston, Rose parade on new years. TRY OUT FOR WHEEL OF FORTUNE, hahaha.

Nope, don't think I would have any problem spending my fairy's money.
