I just read that on this date 60 years ago two guys named John and Paul played together for the first time on stage in a band called The Quarrymen. I wonder what ever happened to those two.guys. Anyone out there know ?

ahhhh yes......I heard one was married twice, spent a lot of time in bed.. then lost his life at age only 40.... way back last century

The other married a vegetarian photographer with her own frozen food range , then a one legged model...then an American entrepreneur... ...and he lives out his old age in relative comfort, after fathering endless children who are all successful in their own right ..even tho' he never really amounted to anything himself..

The only thing they had in common as friends was their mutual hatred of music in all it's forms..
:playful::D

It's a shame they gave up on the music thing.....

Didn't they have one hit ? "Satisfaction" or something like that or am I confusing them with some other unknown one hit wonder band ?

No, Satisfaction was Peter Paul and Mary... they Had a HUGE hit with that.....

I seem to remember tho' that they did try a demo with a song about a Walrus ..calling for Help or something.... in some woods in Norway... but it Bombed ..as you would expect!!

Well, if nothing else, they inspired a new hairstyle- mostly for little boys :)
What was it called again- the something-or-another cut? lol

I think it was called the poodle cut..:playful:..but it didn't Get them down... they decided They could work it out With a little help from their friends...

Didn't they take Lady Madonna, Long Tall Sally, Michelle, and Eleanor Rigby (the rest rode on the plane, but She Came In Through The Window) to Hawaii, where they found out that "aloha" meant Hello, Goodbye? Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds was supposed to join them, but she got caught by the narcs at the airport and hasn't been heard from since. Anyway, they were pretty sure that All You Need is Love, but even after pawning Maxwell's Silver Hammer, John was heard to lament Can't Buy Me Love because he didn't have enough Money (That's What I Want).

So, they just decided to Twist and Shout the Hippy, Hippy Shake with The Fool on the Hill. Ringo asked Why Don't We Do It In The Road? Paul suggested taking The Long And Winding Road and they got lost in the Norwegian Wood.
