A Nice Walk ( with photos )

Today we walked around the Atlantic Coastline. It’s an hour walk which we did with our father in law. It was a 5 kilometre walk .
We met group groups of people; one male runner. 2 women walking and a woman and child.

We walked on the beach and picked up plastic netting. It’s left over from the lobster bait trapping and probably fell off the boat actually acidentally, so my husband picked it all up. He says too many animals get caught up or hurt from the plastic netting.

My husband and my father in law have been fishing. So far my father in law has caught 3 decent sized fish. One was 16 1/2 inches. When he caught it, he was like a kid in a candy store. He hadn’t fished for 40 years.
He had the biggest smile on his face.

Have a good day.
I just caught up with your photos, and enjoyed seeing them, espcially with your father in law! Happy fishing!

Thank you. I hope I see him again. Unfortunately that may have been the last chance I had to see him making it bittersweet.
Hes looking into going into a nursing home.

Can I post this photo ….its not a walk ~ it’s driving ….I think its unusal ….and The fact we we were travelling at 90 km hour when I took it with my phone

It’s near a town called Byron Bay in NSW …. Which is the most eastern tip of Australia

Byron Bay, specifically Cape Byron, is the easternmost point of mainland Australia,

Hi Kadee. Are there 2 lanes like this.? I don’t see a solid white line. Then again, I see what looks like another few lanes to the right. Do you drive on the left like the Brit’s do?
How are you doing?

Today we walked on the old railway down near the causeway. It was sunny and 23 degrees. There was a nice breeze blowing off the Atlantic Ocean.

We went along the short pathway to the beach to cool our dogs down with some water. They appeared to be grateful.

There were a few vehicles that looked like they stayed the night in the parking lot. It’s a lovely place to camp if one needed to.

The smell of dog roses hits your nostrils. There are so many roses. Here are some dog roses and lily pads with flowers.

Here’s some very healthy black angus cows taken on the way home. IMG_9624.jpeg

We drive on the left … @PeppermintPatty it’s a major highway 3 lanes wide each way …. ( in parts of highway, and usually through structures ) …….Called the M 1 …Pacific highway

Today is 28 degree Celsius so we went on our forest walk to stay somewhat cool. Unfortunately it’s not a great walk for new pictures. Due to this I’ve taken some photos of the scenery on the way there and on the way back. It’s fairly hazy out at the moment making the horizontal hard to distinguish.

This is the start of the scenic drive.

We were intending to go walking / taking photos of the national triangle Embassy’s / high commissions of the world in Canbera today ….

There is way to many to take photos ( 45 in total ) of so we will prob only stop at the eye catching structures ( many are built like they would be in their own countries ) we’ve seen them before ..but never taken photos

Take lots of photos and then show us here whichever ones you’d like.

Can’t add any photos of the Embassy’s cause I was chatted by a security for taking one single photo ….its forbidden ….didn't ask her why ….but we latter went to the National Library of Australia and I asked there and they said the reason being it’s something about outsiders knowing the floor plan / living areas of the diplomats …security ….how in the world would any one know the floor plan by taking a photo …never mind~ rules ~ are rules.

Copied this …
  • Security Concerns:
Embassies and consulates are often seen as potential targets for security threats.Photographing them can raise concerns about surveillance and reconnaissance, even if the intent is innocent.
