A Nice Walk ( with photos )

This morning we went for a half an hour walk on the beach. The water was quite still. There were still a lot of jelly fish washed up on the beach. I read that you can still get stung by jelly fish even after they die but I’m not sure how true that is.

This is a nice house just down from the beach. They have a big yacht also.

On the way back to the car there were two girls in pyjamas with lawn chairs who were ready to sit in the sun and get a sun tan. I’m not sure why I feel embarrassed seeing people wearing their pyjamas outside but I do.

Yesterday the hiking ban was lifted so we went on our regular walk today. It’s a nice 45 minute walk that’s not too challenging but challenging enough. IMG_0300.jpegIMG_0301.jpeg
This river is really low this season. Usually this is flowing fairly quickly. It’s not even flowing from such lack of rain. IMG_0302.jpeg

I wonder if, birds are like people where some are messier than others. I think about the strangest things at times. 😝 lol

I always enjoy your photos Today I find the one of the house with the tall grass in front and the clouds across the top to be OUTSTANDING! Good job.
 
Today is 21 degrees and we went to the same place we went yesterday. We saw quite a few people today walking along the trail.

We went the opposite way they were going to give everyone some privacy.
It’s so nice having our hiking trails back.

Today it was sunny and 21 degrees. We went to the path along the edge of town and saw plenty of people. One of the woman we saw out walking today always makes a big fuss over our dogs which, of course, we like. There were two e-bikes that passed us.

Today is 19 degrees and sunny. We went to the provincial park in town today and it was beautiful. The ocean was so calm and still.
Many campers were just getting up and making their morning coffee. We smelled fresh percolated coffee, the kind we used to make when we went camping. It brought back good memories. IMG_0256.jpegIMG_0253.jpeg

Today we went on a trail we hadn’t been on in a while. It is an atv trail on the outskirts of town. We rarely see any ATV’s on it including today. It was so peaceful and quiet. Even the road leading up to the pathway is a private road.

The river running beside the pathway is very slow today, from the lack of rainfall.

We often see grey and blue herons along this stretch of land but didn’t see any today.
The other day while driving in the car we saw a really close up flying right in front of our car. It seemed almost magical.

Today we went to our forest trail. It was sunny and 22 degrees . It was definitely on the cool side. The river that’s generally flowing rapidly was barely flowing at all. It’s quite dense in the midst of this forest so this picture is quite dark but you see where this water line used to be.

Today was an animal picture taking day. We got some great photos of a chipmunk who was very courageous. It stayed at the bottom truck of the tree instead of running up it. Courageous or perhaps foolish considering we have 2 dogs with us. 😂

Then on the way back home we spotted a fox in the middle of a large field so stopped to get some photos of it.IMG_0349.jpeg
It stood there for quite a while then ran off.

Today we went for a walk in the park. It was sunny - cloudy and 22 degrees. The park is emptying out of campers. There are campers from all over North America visiting this camping park.

We walked approximately 3 kilometres and went back home to have our lunch. My husband changed the oil in our suv.

That looks like a lovely walk Dennis. My husband wants free range chickens so badly.
I’m scared that they will bring in predators to our property. Our dogs aren’t very big and they are free range also. Lol
 
Today we drove the extra few kilometres and went on the ATV trail right beside the Atlantic Ocean. It was 27 degrees out but hazy. Not full sun so it wasn’t hot at all, especially with the breeze coming off the ocean.

Our smallest dog got sick in the car today. He seems fine now. He ‘s eaten both his breakfast and his dinner with no problems. He didn’t eat his breakfast when it was given to him so I think he got sick from a lack of food. Poor little fella.
