A Nice Walk ( with photos )

Today we walked around the Atlantic Ocean . It was 14 degrees with sun and cloud as well as a bit windy. We saw a lot of camera enthusiasts out and about taking pictures of the autumn colours. IMG_1070.jpeg
The islands are very pretty lately.

This is an unused cottage with beautiful trees around it.

We walked 5 kilometres today. It took us a little over an hour. We stopped on the way home for deer near the road. Unfortunately my pictures didn’t turn out.

Have a lovely day.

Today we walked the school/ forest walk. It’s a 4 kilometre walk through the forest near a school. We met 3 people and 2 dogs.
We saw a flock full of geese on the baseball field. Here’s 2 of them. IMG_1098.jpeg
I love walking through the fallen leaves. The sound of the leaves and feel of them beneath my feet feels awesome.

When we got home we found 2 deer in our garden eating our tomato plants. My husband said he purposely left that open for them and he was fine until they started eating our strawberries. Lol 😂

Have a nice day IMG_1121.jpeg

Yesterday I forgot to log in my walk so I’m going to log in the walk today. We didn’t go as far because our oldest dog wanted to go back. We walked along the Celtic trail.

This morning my husband put his back out bending over to pick a tomato so we might not be going for a walk today. If my husband feels better we will take an afternoon walk.
Right now I’m listening to Wayne Dyer. His work is so inspirational.

Have a lovely day .

Thank you. I AM very lucky indeed. I count my blessings everyday.

Wayne Dyer is one of my favorite authors. I have all his books.

Reading his books changed my life also. He’s definitely my most influential teacher. He has a talent for choosing just the right words to teach the lesson he wants to get across. His videos are so soothing to my soul.
Glad you found him, too. My other favorite author is Leo Buscaglia, a former college teacher who wrote some wonderful books about life and it's challenges.
Unfortunately, both Wayne and Leo are not with us anymore...but I have reread their books many times..I loved them both...

@PeppermintPatty I think u have told me before, but what is the names of the protected environment there? Does Canada have state parks? Who is taking care of all these beautiful places? :)
This last pictures are from Celtic shores which is cared for by volunteers. They maintain the trails and the washrooms, making sure there is tolet paper etc.

The provincial park we go to is looked after by the province. It’s not voluntary work. The workers there get paid quite well. Provincial parks are well looked after but they get money from campers who like to stay there.

Oh gosh! Sorry to hear! My DH has a lot of back issues. Hope yours feels better soon!

Hope he is feeling better soon.Back pain sucks . I hope that medicine relieves some of the pain for him.
Thanks VeggieMan
I think I’ll have to take the dogs for a walk on my own today. I also hope the painkillers work well. He is using the t.e.n.s unit quite faithfully as well Voltaren gel. It’s tough seeing your loved one in pain.

Thank you VeggieMan. I’ve been with him for over 36 years.

My husband got some anti inflammatories from the doctors. He feels a lot better since taking a hot shower and stretching his arms over his head. He said he could feel and hear the click! Since he felt better we went for a short walk at the provincial park.

There was scattered showers to and from our walk. On the way to our walk the rain was torrential, something our dogs hate as well as us. Then while being in the midst of this rainfall there was sunshine just to one side of us. We went for our walk with no rain whatsoever and as soon as we got home it poured with torrential rain again.

On the way home we also saw a small grey heron
