A Nice Walk ( with photos )

Today we went for a walk in the forest. When we first started out a woman was just coming out off the trail with her big dog. Once she saw that our dogs were getting picked up, she assured us that her dog was absolutely fine. I picked out little schnauzer anyway. By the time I had him snug in my arms her dog jumped up and tried nipping our dog. Our dog didn’t bark or growl or anything. She was completely shocked with her dog’s behaviour.
It’s always best to be safe rather than sorry. She apologized profusely.

We saw three other dogs but they were too far away to be concerned. On the way back we picked up subs from Mr. Sub. That thread about our favourite junk food got to me. Note: Sub sandwiches aren’t really junk food.
Have a wonderful day.

So good that you knew to pick your dog up, regardless of what the other owner said. The truth is that all dogs bite, given the right circumstances and sometimes those circumstances are unpredictable. Glad you and your dog are okay. ♥️

Today we walked along the Atlantic Celtic Trail and saw 5 other people. 4 of them had dogs and were very friendly which at the same time distancing themselves from our dogs. I like that. It was 5 degrees and sunny. I definitely feel better on sunny days.

On the drive down we saw a bald headed eagle so we stopped to take a picture.

Then while on this path we saw 2 more eagles just trees apart however I could only zoom in on one at a time so this is the shot I got.

These photos shows the sun reflecting off the water.

Here’s the pond. The water level in once again high. The ducks that resided here have migrated south. IMG_1512.jpeg

Today we did half a walk so we went to the park, waked to the lighthouse and got in our car to pick up a snow blower.
We got an Ariens Deluxe 28. We had to take our trailer. It’s 360 pounds.

Anyway here are the pictures I took today.

The above picture is a small picnic area that we stopped at on the way home.

Today it’s raining . Since our dogs don’t like going for walks in the rain, we put coats on them and went when the rain tapered off some. NOPE! Our oldest one just stood there not budging at all. We called her and called her with no change. After a few more tries we decided to turn around and head back to the car . She ran. So much for the poor paw.
Clearly she hates walking in rain. 😝 Lol!
I’ m not a fan of walking in the rain either but today we had umbrellas. She clearly wasn’t impressed. Our dogs are so spoiled. We put them back in the car and headed back home.

Today we went on our walk in the forest. We met an older man with 2 canes..He was just finishing his walk when we got to that car park. I think he was really lonely. He struck up a conversation about the river and how deep they are getting.. it’s good to know others are as concerned about the rivers as we are. All the waterways are working how they should be.

I love the colour of the reddish orange pine needles on the path.

We saw a cute little squirrel who looked happy to see us. He didn’t get all defensive about us walking on the pathway, like many others do.

Have a lovely day.

Today we went on a forest walk to the school and back. It is about 3 1/2 kilometres. It was IMG_1548.jpegabout 7 degrees Celsius and a partially sunny partially cloudy day. We saw 4 people on our walk today , no dogs.

Here’s a small waterfall.

There’s nothing particularly exciting about this walk. The pathway is more consistent than the main forest walk.
That’s about it.
