A Nice Walk ( with photos )

The snow we had last night is all gone this morning aroud our house. There’s zero signs of it there IS however signs of it at our usual forest walk. Little patches here and there can be seen.

The rivers are gushing today from the rain and snow melting.

It’s 3 degrees today but didn’t seem that cold.
We still put the sweaters on our dogs though.

On our way back home from our drive we saw cows cuddling into bails of hay.

We also saw a fox at the side of the road. It went into the bushes util we passed by then came back out. We see a lot of fox and eagles where we live.

I also took a picture of one of the free flowing natural springs. They flow 4 seasons of the year. The water is delicious and free for the taking.

That fox has a good bushy tail @PeppermintPatty remember the days when a fox would be killed to make a Davey Crockett hat …or the young lads had a fox rail on their car aerials …( all that happened in Australia) .thank goodness those days have past

We was in QLD while the Coolly rocks ( huge rock n roll festivities that’s on once a year ) was on this year and I’d say at least half the vintage cars had fox tails in their aerials

Yes I remember the fox’ tail hats and souvenirs. Thankfully those days are over.

Those photos above, with the white snow highlights in the forest....
Look magical to me, Patty.

They're yet another example of your gift for photographically framing your subjects.
Thanks for sharing.
Your captions always add, as well.

Ahhhh……. Thankyou for your kind words Kaila. You are a lovely woman. Every word that you type is ALWAYS kind and gentle.
You definitely are a GENTLEWOMAN in ALL ways.

Today we walked along the forest trail.
There were patches of snow along this pathway that hadn’t melted yet. Here’s a few snow patches.

Here is a gnome sleeping. I was hoping it would have a bit of snow around it but it didn’t. My husband put the mushroom back together again.

Well, it snowed yesterday and was -9 today so the snow stayed. Today we had gusts of wind reaching 74 kilometres an hour making it feel like -21. We considered skipping our walk today but decided to go instead .

We went on our sheltered forest walk to stay protected from the wind. Now the pathway is more than sprinkled with snow.

So, someone left that gnome and his mushrooms hanging out there? How very cool. :)

Today we went on a forest walk to the school and back. It is about 3 1/2 kilometres. It was View attachment 469416about 7 degrees Celsius and a partially sunny partially cloudy day. We saw 4 people on our walk today , no dogs.

There’s nothing particularly exciting about this walk. The pathway is more consistent than the main forest walk.
That’s about it.
It may not be exciting, but it certainly looks serene! I'll take it! Looking at your daily walk photos is so calming! ♥

Most of our walks ARE exciting. The photos don ‘t always portray that. The walks are always calming and relaxing. Thanks for saying so.

It’s -4 today and sunny. IMG_1646.jpeg

The forest trail was still snowy today but the wind died down significantly. Yesterday the water was very rough. You can see all the white caps.

Have a beautiful day today everyone.

I would certainly be excited to be in such a beautiful place!!! As I've mentioned - you are living my dream. 😂 🤗
Thank you CaliS. I will keep you in mind while walking.

Here are some other things that have been added to the trails by others. They are fairy and elf houses. Right now the elf is covered with snow. lol

Here’s some type of bird house.

Here’s another bird house. It’s more elaborate than the last one. It’s a bit dark.

It was -2 today and sunny. It was a lovely walk. It was approximately 3 1/2 kilometres
Have a lovely day.

4 layers?? No wonder you were not cold but like yourself, I’d rather be on the warm side than be cold. I love Costco. You can’t go wrong buying from them.

I ‘m not TEMU fan. The price is great. The quality not quite there. I bought some Leggings from Costco that I really liked . They fit me perfectly. My Husbad told me to order more but I didn’t. He found the same type of Leggings at TEMU so ordered me some. He got the the same size that I had for a lot less money. The leggings came in good timing.
I loved the colours and feel of them on my skin but every Time I wore them , I had to constantly pull them up. It got very annoying. The leggings from Costco didn’t do that.
I quickly pulled them from my closet and will drop them off for goodwill. If they were from
Costco I could just return them. Better yet, I wouldn’t have to cause they’d fit perfectly.

We had to cancel our walk this morning. It’s snowing . We have about 4 or 5 inches. Here’s some pictures of the snow. When I went out to take photos, a deer started to move away.
It’s pretty but unfortunately can be dangerous. It’s bad enough that my husband’s optometrists appointment was cancelled . IMG_1668.jpegIMG_1666.jpegIMG_1669.jpegIMG_1670.jpeg
