A Nice Walk ( with photos )

Thanks PP! On my new walks in the afternoon, I am taking pictures, and then Adding an Animal or two of different kinds by using AI. look forward to some really cool pics that aren't real. :)

Those are a mama mink with her babies.
Cool! I ‘like’ and welcome the AI pictures. It adds much interest to the thread, especially right now. Most of my pictures lately are just plain white snow. Lol 😝

It snowed here again so we walked on a trail we knew would be groomed. We walked on the new ATV trail. While walking we had 3 ATV’s and 4 snowmobiles go by.

My tendon attached to my heel was really hurting me today but we still walked 5 kilometres. I figure if I don’t exercise it will seize up. Maybe I should check with chat GPT.

Anyway here are some photos.

🥹Your forest type looks very familiar. I'm sure there's some overlap in tree species.

Most of the trees are pine and spruce with a few birch and poplar in between. The odd maple or cherry tree if you are really looking for them.
We have a small proportion of pines (mostly White Pine and Ponderosa Pine) in our local forests, quite a bit of spruce. And Douglas Fir, Larch (a cousin to Tamarack). Some Paper Birch, Douglas Maple, Aspen, very occasional Yew And in wetter areas Cottonwood poplar.

Here is where the running bamboo has to stop. At the deep creek bed. We are clearing the bamboo about 4 ft from the bank. Its a lot of work, but afterwards I look forward to landing that nice trout and. Cooling off in our bone dry creek. :)

I really like this pic. As you will see in the "before" pic our creek is dry. The AI made this because I asked it to. The possibilities are endless for manipulating what it touches. I don't think we will be able to keep our faith in what we see IS really there. The before pic...

Wow! Thats really something. I really thought you had a river running near your house. I thought maybe the man catching the big fish was done by artificial intelligence. That’s very good. I’ve been using artificial intelligence to ask questions I don’t know anything about. It’s mind blowing how fast they can answer questions. It’s instantly.

Do you need to be extra carefully watching for the atv's and snowmobiles, when you walk on one of those trails, Patty?
Beautiful pictures, as always. 👍☺️

Oh yes. We have dogs that we have to watch out for. We pick them up when the ATV’s come by. The regular atv’s are loud so you hear them but the side by sides aren’t very loud at all. We still hear them but if we are on a curve we don’t always hear them until they are almost right there. Generally we keep away from the trails during the weekend cause that’s when it’s busiest. Thanks for the compliment on the photos. As always you’re most kind.

Don't know where I've been but I just got around to viewing your early February photos. They are beautiful. Do you ever do a calendar for friends for the holidays?
I assume you are talking to me. No i don’t really do any thing with my photos except show them to you guys but thank you for the compliment.

Today we went in town and walked in the forest trails. It was a short walk due to my sore ankle. My ankle buckled again on me even while doing the short walk. It was -1 degrees and cloudy. We met up with 2 adults walking 2 dogs. They were bigger than ours.
I dont know why people with large dog have to justify not having trained their dogs very well when they meet yours and can’t control theirs. They say ‘they just want to sniff noses’IMG_2464.jpegIMG_2463.jpegIMG_2465.jpeg
