A Nice Walk ( with photos )

Today was 16 degrees and sunny. We decided to go to the Celtic Shore trails where all the snow is cleared. . Since we are both still injured we didn’t walk that far. We walked as far as the snow was cleared which was about 1 kilometre.

My husbands blisters aren’t dry yet so his socks are still sticking. He still won’t put bandages on them cause he wants them to dry out. Luckily he had slippers on when the water hit his feet. His feet look sore though.
What a pair we are.

IMG_2713.jpegIt was so warm that I took my jacket off and tied it around my waist. Tomorrow it’s going back to one degree so we soaked up the nice sunny day the best we could.

It was a nice walk but I couldn’t stop thinking about RadishRose. I wish I could have told her how great I thought she was. There’s probably a lot of members feeling that way.

I forgot to log in our walk yesterday. We went to the same place we went to for the past couple of days. It’s the Celtic Shores !
There were two people there standing beside their car. It looked like they’d already been for a walk. Some people come here just to sit in their car to eat their lunch. It’s a very pretty area. The ocean is all frozen with snow on this side of the causeway.

We walked about 1 kilometre. We’d walk further if the snow wasn’t there.

Today we are expecting to get 20 millimetres of rain. My husband wants to take a day off. His blisters aren’t drying out because his socks keep sticking to them. I keep trying to get him to put some aloe Vera on them but he is trying to dry them out..They look so sore.

Today it’s 8 degrees and rainy so we went to the provincial park. The road to get to the park was closed but the snow had been ploughed so the roads were ice and snow free, which was nice. IMG_2740.jpeg
This is the canals manager’s office

It’s very foggy today.

We walked approximately one kilometre today but I didn’t use the cane. My injury is getting better slowly but surely. ‘Tis why we need cleared flat surface. The forest trail in town would be treacherous today. The pathway would be icy with rain on top, so very slippery.

I really look forward to spring.
Have a great day everybody.

I'm so jealous! You are looking forward to spring, but where I live we seem to have skipped right over it!

I got a mosquito bite last night - Already! 😥

Too bad we can't share the weather - I could send you a warm breeze and you could send back a cool one! :ROFLMAO:

Beautiful photos as always - I like the fog. The last picture above looks mysterious and like there's something interesting around the corner!

Haha. I’d be happy to send you a cool breeze and would have even taken the mosquito bite off you to have a nice warm day like the other day. We went from sunny and 16 to 0 degrees and then 8 degrees today. It’s 9 degrees now.
Thank you for the compliments on my photos. It was so foggy that I didn’t know what to take a photo of. lol 😝

Thank you for looking at my beautiful photos @Medusa. 😂
My foot is getting better and my husbands blister is starting to dry out. It’s a big blister.
Thats nice of you to care about us.

Today we went to the forest trail and it was perfect for walking on. The trail hadn’t iced up which was great. We walked our regular 2 1/2 to 3 kilometres with no problems at all.

We walked at a good time. It’s snowing quite a lot right now and is supposed to turn to freezing rain.

Have a great day everybody.

Good news! 🥰

It's great that they mark off trees to be preserved for the wildlife.
These trails are really well taken care of. The parking lot is always cleared of snow. Someone shovels the bridges that are full of snow. There are Benches made and placed along the trail for us to sit and relax if we so choose to. That tree with the bird sign has woodpecker holes in it. It IS marked to be preserved. I love this trail.

Today was 0 degrees Celsius and mainly sunny. We went on the new to us ATV trail and had 3 ATV’s pass us as well as a group of 7. Not the painters. 😂 Five adults and 2 children.

Yesterday it snowed so we got 5 more inches of snow to walk in. We figured that the ATV’s probably went through this trail , packing down the snow, which they did.

There’s one of our dogs walking way ahead of us. Below is a water stream. IMG_2793.jpeg
Today we walked a full 3 kilometres. My heel is healing well. Yayyy!

Have a great day guys.

I loved all of your photos, once again,
And I was also checking here, to see if you'd have an update on your ankle, and about the top of your husband's feet.
I see you did.

I hope you'll both continue to improve now!💗❣️

I love that sign with the picture of a pileated woodpecker on it, and requesting people leave it alone. 🤩

Hi Kaila,
Yes! We are both healing well and thank you.
My husband bought new socks. Apparently the new socks don’t stick to the blister as easily. The tendons in my heel ARE healing slowly but surely. I was able to walk 3 kilometres today with no problem, so I assume I am getting better. Thank you for asking.

How are you doing?

Today we walked on the new ATV trail. Since it’s Monday and not the weekend we figured it would be fairly quiet and we were right. We didn’t see a soul while there.

Following the ATV tracks makes it easier to walk in the snow since it’s all packed down.

We walked 3 kilometres. We measured it off the other day. It’s 1 1/2 kilometres one way to the stop sign which makes it 3 kilometres there and back.

Have a nice day.

I'm worn out at this moment from overdoing, last night and this morning.
I'm going to rest in bed now, and hope to recupe, a little, and be back later. 🙂
Thank you for asking.
Has he gotten the new socks, to try them, yet?
