A Nice Walk ( with photos )

Aw,Patty.... I'm so sorry you fell ☹️😮‍💨😖

And hurt your thumb, and on right hand. 😒
Thank you Kaila!
My goodness, so sorry to hear you fell 😔 Take care 🤗🤗
Thank youbCaliS!
Milk that sprain! Oh I can't sweep or mop----sigh, Oh I can't fold laundry - oh no!
You know what to do :ROFLMAO:
Seriously, sorry to hear you sprained it. Hope it gets better fast for you real soon!
Sprains are frustrating.
Thank you IrishEyes!
I’m not doing anything that hurts.
You’re a funny lady.
Awe, damn. I'm sorry, Patty. :(
Thank you Medusa!

The sprain isn’t really bad. I’m sure it will feel better in a few days. At the moment even picking up the phone with my right hand hurts so I’m using my left hand for most stuff. My husband cut up my steak for me tonight. He’s a sweetheart. Luckily I was wearing his gloves when I fell otherwise my thumb would be worse. He gave me his gloves cause I forgot mine in the car. His gloves are suede with Sherpa inside.

Today we went on the new ATV trail. Most of the snow and ice were gone, like the picture shows. IMG_2831.jpeg
The only place where there was ice and snow was on the shady corner. It was VERY slippery. Luckily most of the trail was snow and ice free.
IMG_2840.jpeg
Half way on our walk there’s a picnic table where we stopped and sat down for a while.
While sitting there, two ATV’s came by and stopped right where we were. The first ATV stopped and the driver got out and waited for the other ATV. It didn’t take long to discover that it was a family. The father drove the ATV with the youngest son . He was about 12 and the oldest son was driving the other ATV with the mother. He looked about 15 and 16. The father got out to spray clean the windshield of the other ATV . It was really dirty. Anyway we waited for them to go before we got up off the picnic table.
IMG_2834.jpeg
On the way home we stopped to take a picture of the very blue ocean. The first picture isn’t so blue but the second picture IS VERY BLUE!
IMG_2842.jpegIMG_2844.jpegToday was 0 degrees Celsius but was very sunny. It’s starting to feel a bit like spring.
Tomorrow I have a nurse practitioner’s appointment and it’s at 9:30 so we will go for a walk afterwards. We have more snow predicted in our future weather forcast so I’m not getting too excited about spring yet. Hopefully we will get some nice weather for Easter!

Have a nice day everyone.

Today I had a doctors appointment. ( counselling ) so we took our dogs for a walk at the Celtic Shores. It was great because most of the trail was completely snow free.
The clouds were extra low today. It was 5 degrees but felt like 10 degrees. The sun was shining.

The ocean is frozen on top still on this side of the causeway.

Here is a house with a metal roof. Our roof needs redoing so we had a metal roof contractor over at our house today taking measurements.

Today is 2 degrees Celsius and it’s snowing / raining. We walked on the same path we did yesterday so the pictures are pretty much the same.

We didn’t walk as far as we normally do. We probably only walked 2 and 1/2 kilometres.
On the way back home there was 5 or 6 deer all in a one place eating grass on someone’s front door and as I was getting my iPhone ready to take pictures our youngest dog started barking at them which chased them all away.

I had a very adventurous walk today. It is 78F and cloudy
Nice day to walk. First I came upon the Osage Indians that live in asmall meadow by the creek.

Then I heard some music in the distance. So I went to investigate. It got super loud fast and before I knew it I ran into this in the big meadows to the east.

Then I walked aways until I was surprised by this...
Snipping_2026-03-22-15-49-06.jpg
I walked a little bit further and found their home.

So after all that I decided to rest a
By the waterfall.:)

Your walks are very adventurous Paco Dennis.
Those Indians look very interesting. They look like friendly Indians.
When you came to the live concert, did you dance or sit on the ground to listen? Who were they?
Were you lucky enough to get an elephant ride?
Did you go into the castle? Did you get invited to dinner?
The waterfall looks so soothing. What a great way to end a busy day.
As always thanks for stopping by. We stayed in today. We had someone stop by to look at our roof. We are getting new shingles this spring.

That was the Greatful Dead w/Jerry Garcia. ( for a back from the dead encore. :))

I was too late for dinner. :(

Today we went on the new ATV trail. We had some more snow so the trails were no longer clear. Some places were really slippery.
We didn’t see anyone on the trail today. We walked to the 4 way stop and back which was 3 kilometres.
IMG_2918.jpegIMG_2920.jpeg

We found some tiny paw print tracks that we figured was either a mink or a weasel. IMG_2919.jpeg
There’s nothing really exciting to say about our walk today. Today we are supposed to get 15 centimetres of snow, which is 5.90 inches.
Hopefully it will be the last of the snow but I’m not holding my breath.

Today we went to the provincial park. The reason being was that we had an appointment with Petsmart which is in Sydney so needed to take our dogs somewhere along the way.

While there we saw the coast guard boat so took some pictures. It was minus 1 Celsius but felt much colder due to the wind factor.
IMG_3031.jpeg
While getting our dog’s clipped we went to a restaurant to eat our lunch. It was good.
After lunch we went to the boardwalk to see the big fiddle. There was an even bigger Coast Guard boat so I took pictures of that.
IMG_2932.jpegIMG_2933.jpegIMG_2931.jpeg
Then took a picture of the big fiddle.
IMG_2934.jpeg
We then went for a short drive around the neighbourhood to pass some time and finally went back to Petsmart. As soon as we parked the car we got the call telling us that our dogs were ready for pick up. Perfect timing.
We then drove home. It’s now 5:00 and good to be home.

I hope you had a good day.

Today has been a crazy day weather wise.
It started off snowing for quite a while and it was very heavy snowfall. We decided to wait it out because we saw on the radar that it was heading out. We finally just left hoping that the snow would just stop.

I don’t normally mind walking in snow but this was a very heavy snowfall. By the time we got to our destination it started raining as well as. Then the rain turned to hail. The sky turned a dark grey with not a shade of blue. Then the hail turned back to rain and the sun came out. It truly was miraculous. I’ve never seen weather change so quickly.

We then decided to drive to the Celtic Shores and walk there and it was beautiful.

IMG_2936.jpeg
We walked half of what we normally do since my heel was acting up somewhat. IMG_2938.jpegIMG_2939.jpeg
We walked to the little cottages and back but while at the little cottages, we saw a pair of geese. I took a picture of them and they started squawking so our dogs decided to chase them. We called them back but the geese took off and landed in the pond.
IMG_2942.jpegIMG_2944.jpeg
The pond was still iced on top so they landed standing up. Lol 😂 Here is where we turned around and headed back to the car.

I hope you all have a great day.

I will point out to our American members that the Canadian Coast Guard is not a military force. Their ships do not have any weapons. Their mandate is rescue, repair and mainteneance of navigation aids, ice breaking, and enforcement of fishing regulations in our waters. JIMB>

Really cool pictures of the coast guard boats.

I love the sound of geese passing overhead and they are fun to see walking around. I confess, though, that I'm a bit intimidated by them; they can be grouchy things.

Oh they can be. Especially ones who are used to people. If you go to Ontario place or Canadas Wonderful or the CNE and want to walk around with food you just bought, you have to protect yourself from the geese. They will attack you to get food. I don’t blame you for being scared. I’m afraid for little kids who don’t know what to do when these guys attack.

These particular geese, we saw today, are still afraid of humans which they should be.
