A Nice Walk ( with photos )

Today we went into the town forest walk. Most of the snow and ice was gone from the trail. It was 9 degrees Celsius so not too cold and it was cloudy.

Here the start of the trail

Have a nice day.
Ooo, I love an eagle sighting! The woodpecker holes were fun to see as well.

I’ve never seen as many eagles until we moved here. The eagles definitely likel the area here. There’s so many of them.
@Medusa- here’s some of my past eagle sightings

It’s nice seeing fresh woodpecker holes. It’s even more fun watching the birds make them

Patty, these pictures are amaze! I know it's cliché, but Bald Eagles really are so majestic and beautiful to see.

Thanks Medusa. Bald Eagles certainly ARE majestic looking in every way. I love getting a nice shot of them. One of our most memorable eagle sightings was feeding them the fish remains after my husband went fishing. There was an eagle pair with some nesting eaglets ( baby eagles ) and we fed them on a sandbar. It was so cool. My husband fed them while I took pictures. I got so many cool pictures of him coming down to get the food. It was so exciting.

Hi Patty ,
Thanks for those great pictures, and for taking us with you, today. 😀
Hi Kayla,
The bald eagle pictures weren’t all from today. They are a handful of my favourite bald eagle photos that I had and wanted to share with Medusa and any others who might like some close ups of bald eagles but thanks for taking an interest in my walking thread.

Today we went to Celtic Shore trails. There was 4 trucks and 4 trailers there already so we went on the side that we knew they wouldn’t go. It’s fairly foggy where we walked today but not foggy anywhere else we went.
The first bridge looked like it just dropped into nowhere land. lol

Normally we can see the other sides of the bay but not today.

These 2 geese came by when we did and left when we did.

On the way home. Not foggy at all.

We walked about 3 kilometres today. It was a beautiful day with a temperature of 9 degrees Celsius. I took my coat off and tied it around my waist. It’s definitely spring weather today.

Have a nice day.
This was the series of photos I was talking about. I love them.
I thought they were from today. Oops. 😊😁😄

Holy wow! That must have felt wonderous. Once in a lifetime. 🥰

It WAS fabulous. We felt very lucky. We could see the nest but couldn’t see the baby eagles. We could see the mother eagle though. She stayed on the nest while the daddy eagle went hunting for food. He must have thought he struck the jackpot that day. It was probably special for ALL of us.

Today we went into town so walked the forest path. It’s a 40 minute walk. It was a bit cool. Most of the snow is now gone.
Today, 4 degrees and cloudy. We only saw one other woman with a Labra-doodle. I like those mix of breeds.

These crocuses are from a house right next to the trail. They looked so pretty that I had to take a picture. IMG_3347.jpeg
Have a nice day.

Today we walked the same walk as yesterday.
It’s 5 degrees Celsius but bright and sunny. We met 2 people and one dog. One guy was as happy as could be. He called us friends and we only just met him. lol 😂

Here’s a squirrel not budging from where he’s at regardless of our dogs.

This is a picture of the ocean ( Bras’ D Ore Lake ) I am attracted to the contrasting colours of the red stems and the blue water and sky. It would make a great painting.

Today we walked on the new ATV trail. We didn’t see a soul . It was 2 degrees and sunny.

Last night my father in law rolled out of bed and split his head open so they had to take him to the hospital via an ambulance. He got several stitches and now has railings on his bed.

Here are some pictures.

Wonderful pictures, as always, Patty. Especially the "chill" squirrel and the color contrast picture. That one looks like it could be one of those 1000 piece puzzles. ☺️
Thank you Medusa. I like the squirrel picture also. I liked the squirrel. Usually squirrels run up a tree and squawk at us. This one didn’t move at all as we went by and our dogs didn’t even see him/her.

Have you taken your dog for his 2nd walk yet?

Yes, he looked really "chilly" sitting there, holding his ground.

Yes, Lucius and I have been on our afternoon walk. There was a couple getting out of their car in the parking lot we were passing (on the sidewalk) and they were beaming at Lucius. I had huge, over-ear headphones on so just smiled at them and when Lucius stalled said, "Come on, handsome," which is something I often say to him. Yesterday though, husband mentioned that I am much louder than I realize when wearing headphones. So I hope the man didn't think I was talking to him. 😅

One more walk and then I don't know Lucius for the rest of the day. Well, unless I see him; then I have to smush him and tell him he's a nice boy.

Nice of you to ask, Patty. ❤️

I talk loudly when I’ve got my earplugs or headset in. I think most of us do. That would be funny if the man started following you. 😂🤣
