A Nice Walk ( with photos )

Today we went to the provincial park.
It was very windy and a bit cool; 5 degrees Celsius. We put sweaters on our dogs. They aren’t matching sweaters; same style/ pattern but different colours.
My heel still hurts. I’m hoping this isn’t going to be a permanent injury. We didnt see anyone walking at the park today. There were people out messing around with the lobster boats, getting ready for the season. There’s 2 more boats in the channel.

Soon that channel will be filled with boats.

The park opens mid May and stays open until Labour Day.

Here’s a deer on our driveway. There was 2 of them.

Today we went to the battery again. It was 9 degrees and sunny. We saw 2 other people walking in the park as well as 2 other people working at the park.

I didn’t take many pictures today. This is the road we walked down.

These are the boats lined up in the channel.

When we got home there were 3 deer eating our front grass. When we came up the driveway we saw them leaving but they stayed on the driveway for a while to check us out. Lol! 😂

There was a mother and her two little ones.
These two looked like twins. There’s something about deer that really makes you appreciate nature.

Have a good day.
Today my husbands now out back cutting trees down for firewood. We need 4 chords of wood which is 24 to 30 trailer full loads.

I don't always say it but I always enjoy your pictures. It's a gift.

Today we walked on the trail that’s next to the public school. It was 9 degrees Celsius and the walk was 2 1/2 kilometres. We saw 3 people , two with no dog and one with some type of terrier mix.

This trail has a lot of hills and bridges.

Here’s a bench halfway through the walk.

It was a nice change from the walks that we normally go on. We had an early walk today. We left just after 9. My husband woke up at 2:30 in the Morning and couldn’t get back to sleep. :( He tried taking a nap later on in the day but had no luck. Hopefully he’ll sleep better tonight.

Have a nice day.

Sorry to hear that your heel still bothers you, Patty. 😒😕

Wonderful photos, as always. 🤩

For those that don't know...A cord of wood is a pile that is four feet high , four feet deep , and eight feet long. Hardwood burns longer than soft woods like pine or birch. JIMB>

Today we went to the provincial park. It’s 5 degrees Celsius and foggy out. We put sweaters on our dogs. We saw three people. One was a worker that worked at the park and the other was a middle aged couple.
There was a new boat in the channel.

Here’s a picture of the Atlantic Ocean. The nature trail starts here. IMG_3537.jpeg
Here’s a picture of the small town across the Bay. A church is included.
IMG_3543.jpeg
The provincial park just put up a new building. We don’t know what it’s for. It’s not a big building.
IMG_3535.jpeg
And we saw a fox today. It ran across the road in front of us and then came back and sat down and watched us. I got a picture of it but it’s not a great picture.

For clearer fox photos, see the post before this one. Those are the best fox photos over the last 5 years.

Have a nice day.

I love these fox pictures, Patty! They are beautiful creatures. It looks so magical, where you live.

Today was a wet rainy day so we into town and walked along the Atlantic Ocean coastline. We took umbrellas just in case it rained but it didn’t. It was 9 degrees however the wind was quite cool. 😎
Here are some pictures of the walk.

It was a 4 kilometre walk. We didn’t see any other walkers.
Have a nice day.

Today was a partial sunny day and 10 degrees Celsius. We went to the Celtic Shore walking trail since it wasn’t very windy. We saw one person ahead of us walking 2 white dogs but we never caught up to her. My husband said she probably lived in the area. We also saw three other people with one dog towards the end of our walk. They were taking pictures of each other walking the dog which was kind of cute. We walked 4 kilometres.

Here are some pictures.

The first bridge.

The new batch of black cows.
There’s a story that goes with these cows.
Last fall the cows disappeared from the fields so I assumed that that were made into steaks and hamburgers. My husband knowing that I’m somewhat sensitive to all of this tried to assure me that the cows traveled down south for vacation and assured me that they’d be back this spring. Well the cows are back but they are new cows. They are much younger and smaller than the other cows that were here. So yes I love the thought that the cows were on vacation but I’m not THAT naive. Have a lovely day.
