A place to sit and think...

Everyone needs one. Here in Arizona, I sit in my patio and enjoy the sound of my little fountain. When I had a cabin in Idaho I loved to sit under my young tree and look out on Bear lake.

I never tired of the view. Had it not been for the heavy deep snows of winter I might still be up there. Where's your spot?

Probably my back yard, beyond the fence is a wildlife area where I can watch occasional deer, grouse, hawks and other wildlife.

I am fortunate enough that as Summer becomes Fall I can sit on the beach and be alone to think. The tourists have gone and the occasional local just sort of smiles and passes on. I sit on sugar white sand and watch emerald water tumble, surge and then sweep back out into the gulf.
My second favorite place to think is the balcony of my apartment. From there I have a view of the bay, the sort of swampy end of the bayou. It is filled with trees and various reeds and grasses. My favorite thing is to watch the tops of the trees that move in the wind. I feel my heart dance along with them and I always feel a closer connection with this world as I feel their movement.

Beautiful word pictures Sandie. Living on an island, I am never far from water. If I tire of the ocean, there are both lakes andrivers nearby where I can sit and reflect. Trees, parks, and forests abound here, as do parks, I try to take advantage of all these spots to explore the quiet within.

Ah yes Jim, that beautiful view would have been a wonderful place to sit and think... :)

I sit out on the swing seat in my garden when I need to ponder a little....it's very relaxing. Funnily enough the swing seat has the exact opposite effect on my o/h...he gets swing seat sick lol

I have two electric recliners to sit and think in but the thinking should be censored...

Sitting in my summerhouse watching the world go by.

My Ozark house didn't have water too close, so, I built me a water feature close by. :)

My Florida house is a might better. pool to lounge around or Gulf to enjoy. :D

In my OP, I showed my cabin in the mountains of Idaho in summertime. These pictures better show why I don't live there anymore.

I have many places I like to sit and chill.

This is one of my many spots in Thailand

And sitting on a bench in our back garden

I will be sitting here at my favourite restaurant in Thailand on my birthday in Feb thinking about how it feels to be 64. Bring on the Mai Tais! 16211860812_49069b5046_o.jpg

One of my favorite spots, just a couple blocks from our house, to just sit, drink my coffee, and think.

Beautiful! One of the things I knew I would surely miss when I left Las Vegas to take a job in Colorado, was the palm trees! imp
