Being from southern Ontario, I wasn't familiar with northern Ontario weather. Also, I was used to just seeing the weather forecast on TV.
One day in the lumber camp, I wondered whether it was going to snow. A coworker said, "No, it's too cold to snow." I thought about it, and decided it made sense.
Another time when I said something about snow, a coworker pointed out that it couldn't snow because there were no clouds in the sky. That also made sense!
