A weather 'proverb'..have you ever heard?

New to me.. anyone else?🤔

Is it an ole' farmers saying?
 

Never heard that one, either, @Jace

And I'm not sure if it means, that it will, or that it will not,
rain on that spot of grass. o_O:rolleyes::unsure::LOL::giggle:

Weather proverbs, in general, would make another good thread. (Unless we already have one for those. Do we? :unsure::rolleyes::geek:)
 
Being from southern Ontario, I wasn't familiar with northern Ontario weather. Also, I was used to just seeing the weather forecast on TV.

One day in the lumber camp, I wondered whether it was going to snow. A coworker said, "No, it's too cold to snow." I thought about it, and decided it made sense.

Another time when I said something about snow, a coworker pointed out that it couldn't snow because there were no clouds in the sky. That also made sense!
