A woman sent herself an Apple AirTag to help catch thieves

Kind of ingenious of her to catch them that way. A lady left her home for work one morning after putting her Doberman dogs in the fenced back yard. Realizing she left something important at home she returned to find a van in her driveway and thieves inside ready to start loading the van. She grabbed the keys out of the van and then went to her back door and let the dogs into the house. The news article said she had to find her cell phone before being able to call the police. Such a shame it wasn't quicker. You just can't make these things up.
 
What amazes me about porch pirates is that people assume nobody would steal things from their porch???? You wouldn't leave your wallet on your porch, but somehow a thief is supposed to be "ethical" and not swipe your unguarded goods off your porch. You have a cardboard box out in the open that has "take me" all over it, and you wonder why it's gone.
