Actors you don't "get"

I see Bill Nighy in a lot of different things, and while I acknowledge he's a good actor, I really don't understand what the draw is... to me he always seems to have a 'flat affect' (no expression). would love to hear your thoughts

Scarlet Johansson. To me, she's meh.
And though I like several of the movies she's been in (despite of how often she chews the scenery), Julia Roberts strikes me as a less than believable actress.

I don't think I "get" any of them. I watch very few movies and as the years go by, fewer and fewer.

I get a kick out of some, like Christopher Walken and think Antonio Banderas and Clooney are "hot". Kathy Bates is good, but I don't really care much about film stars.

And Keifer Sutherland. Every role is Jack Bauer in some way or another.

When I saw Kevin Costner in Robin Hood I felt very embarrassed for him. Could you make a better attempt at a British accent?

Not a fan of Nicolas Cage except in Con Air. I like that movie. It's kind of campy.

I really liked Kevin Costner in Dances with Wolves, so that kind of set him for me.

Russell Crowe. I remember years ago some critic stating he looks like he should work at a gas station. Mean.

I rented Gladiator years ago. I would not have if I didn't know the tigers were computer generated. That movie made me jump in a couple of places. A bit too violent for me.

I guess some people considered Jim Carrey as an actor ???? If so , then good for you but I never could stand him. Never liked his physical schtick and when he did try to go all serious, I thought he was awful. I also feel the same for Adam Sandler. I am glad that many were entertained by these two comedian/actors but I just never saw the appeal.

I will also add Tom Cruise. I know I am in the minority but he always just seems so stiff in his movies.
