An Army Colonel is blasting the soldiers who took a base Afghanee pedophile to task for chaining a boy to his bed. He said they endangered others because they needed that individual for intelligence & security. This colonel says it was a small base with a contingent of 20 that needed every man they could get. The soldiers had already heard pleas & complaints from local villagers wanting to save the boy so chances were small that the local village would've done things to endanger the troops/base. Already a small post I doubt that special forces units would've suffered with one less man. Several Afghanistan and Iraq veterans agree. He also accused those two soldiers of not seeing the big picture or long game but one was a captain and the other a sergeant both leadership ranks so I think they knew what they could do or not do ie if taking out one pedophile were hurt them or not.
I understand a high ranking officer wanting to do everything and anything to secure his troops but is he or is he a hippity hop yes man for the higher ups.
