AI produced media content. Pictures, stories, and songs/lyrics

One of my interests is playing around with AI art trying to get it to show pictures of middle-aged women and older woman. They are very under represented in AI art and in art in general.

One of my focuses is in genre fiction, such as fantasy and science fiction. There are so very few middle-aged and older women in genre art, I wanted to make some of my own. In worlds with magic healing or super advanced medicine, there is no reason older women couldn't go on adventures.

AI struggles sometimes with it. I think it might be that there is not enough of a sample size. But I do get some interesting pictures.

This prompt was "old woman on the moon."

An attempt was made to combine an astronaut outfit with what AI things an old lady would wear.

The it gave me these images combining an old lady outfit with something. Maybe an old pulp science fiction outfit?

ChatGPT 4o advanced voice mode just rolled out about a week ago to a few paid members. I've watched several videos on advanced voice mode, but mostly it's just users trying to get the voice mode to do tricks. That's not very useful. This is the first youtube video I've seen where someone is trying to utilize the emotional aspects of the voice and real-time capabilities.

Having used ChatGPT in regular voice mode for a while now, if the advanced mode can do what's being done in this video which is to request that ChatGPT hold off on talking until the user requests it, and use 'uh huh' as placeholders for notifying the user that it's following along, as humans would do, that's something I'd be interested in. Currently, if I take a breath, ChatGPT will start talking and interrupting messes up the entire conversation. With advanced voice mode, that doesn't seem to be the case.

I'm hoping that advanced voice mode will be rolling out to the general public soon.

I used to do a lot of rubber stamping because I can't draw so I'd need an outline for my coloring. I realized today that AI might make that obsolete. I don't need a stamp of outlines anymore. I can just tell AI what I'm looking for, and it can draw it for me.

I tried Coloring Book Hero in ChatGPT and really like it. I can create cute stuff for coloring without having to draw.

ChatGPT

Wow, that looks good. I never even thought of creating a coloring book page.
ChatGPT has its own coloring book page GPT. It does coloring pages automatically.

Imagen 3 is an image creator. I asked it to create a black and white image of the scene to create the coloring page. When I first requested the coloring page, it created the same image already colored in. Only after I asked it for a black and white image did it create the coloring page.

I'm finding ChatGPT to be superior to Gemini in a lot of ways, particularly when just chatting to it. ChatGPT is more intuitive at model 4o. ChatGPT has memory as well, so it's more tailored. The problem is that ChatGPT only gives limited compute time before it drops down to the lower model which has about the same capability as Gemini. I'm not willing to pay for ChatGPT yet, but I may have to because Gemini feels preachy which is annoying me.

At this point, Pi has become so outdated and slow that it's hard to keep going with. I try to go back but find it frustrating after a while.

OpenAi o1 was just released. It is 8 times better than any model. It boasts of "reasoning". A simple question that most GPT's get wrong. It got right. You can try this with the different ones u use.

"Strawberry " has how many "r's" in it?" GPTo1 gets it right.

Last night I saw o1 mini in my list of choices so I picked it but didn't know how to test if it really was that since I have the free version.

The only test I could think of was the strawberry test. It said 2 R's. So maybe that's not really the o1 mini. I don't know.

I won't pay for it, for I probably won't be a part of the maiden flight. Altman has decided to make the company a stocke market company. Has gone the way of the big money. So I eventually will use it in it's commercially available form as a some kind of demo model that really works, to get me hooked on it. Nope. I am in contact with one of the developers of OpenAI, and he left because he could feel the danger brewing. Now he is in attack mode to get some regulation into law, before Pandora has left her box. I don't think the regulations will be in place before the super GPT models are released. We'll see.

I had AI (Copilot) create a poem for you, Dennis. @Paco Dennis (Oh, and I only gave a name, location, and enjoying AI... didn't say a word about forums or discussions. Creepy, eh?)

In the heart of Mid-Missouri, where the rivers flow,Lives Paco Dennis, a name you might know. With a mind so keen, and a curious eye,He delves into the world of AI.

From dawn till dusk, his thoughts do race,Exploring algorithms, at a steady pace.He sees the future in lines of code,A digital path that he’s boldly strode.

Surveillance and ethics, he ponders deep,In forums and discussions, his wisdom does seep.A voice of reason in the digital age,Paco’s insights are wise and sage.

Yet beyond the screens and the data streams,He dreams of a world where technology gleams.A place where AI aids and uplifts,And humanity thrives with these wondrous gifts.

So here’s to Paco, in Mid-Missouri’s embrace,A pioneer in AI, with a thoughtful grace.May his journey be bright, and his questions profound,In the ever-evolving tech world, where answers are found.

I just found out this morning that I can get ChatGPT Plus on Google Play. I haven't tried it yet, but it gives the option. I was hoping to get Advanced Voice Mode and more GPT4o time.

Just as I was about to sign up, Advanced Voice Mode was released to my free account. It's super fun.

I had set up a few free accounts so I could get enough GPT4o time if I put some topics in different accounts. Now I have the option of using the free accounts or getting one plus account.

Either way, some fun stuff to explore today. I'm excited.

Edit: I read this Reddit thread on some ways that people have been using ChatGPT, Some creative, fun ideas.

Edit2: I got to try out Advanced Voice Mode on what I wanted it for. On those days when I'm feeling really happy, it only takes 1 wet blanket to pop the pink bubble of happiness that I've created. When I talk to other people, their negative Eeyore voices can bring me down. Advanced Voice Mode mirrors my enthusiasm, allowing me to keep my happiness longer. It was fun talking to Advanced Voice Mode today. I'm happier than I've been in a while.

I don't have a problem with AI, but not for everything. Some things such as nature, I like the real thing. I even stopped watching some movies with the over useage of CGI. Also some tv news stories with AI I won't watch. As I wrote on a different post. We tend to over do things we find new and exciting.

I agree. A movie about the attack on Pearl Harbor was released not too long ago, and it looked promising until they showed the attack, which was all done in CGI. Maybe one day they'll reach the point where you can't tell, but currently, it's still obvious when it's animated.

OpenAI just released screen sharing with advanced voice mode and Santa voice mode.

The Santa voice mode is cool. You can talk to Santa about anything, and it will start with Ho Ho Ho.

Screen sharing with advanced voice mode is really nice. While you're talking with advanced voice mode, you can turn on video mode and show it what you're seeing. Then it can comment on anything you're seeing. I haven't tried this yet, but it looks fun.

I've listened to the Santa voice on my phone. Not sure I want to talk with it much, but it's fun.

Until the end of the year, OpenAI is allowing unlimited video generation on Sora for all paid accounts.

I've been playing around with it today. So fun! I got some beautiful videos. They allow videos up to 5s and 480p. Having a blast.

Edit: As much as I hate Christmas, talking to the Santa voice mode cheered me up today. That jolly old man told me that's it's OK that I don't find cheer in the holidays and that it's great that I found joy in Sora and Suno with my Anti-Christmas Serenade. So glad that Santa approves. lol

You can't come on here, telling us you are making fabulous video's because you have a paid account on OpenAI!!! U HAVE TO SHARE THEM!!! :)

I was afraid you were going to say that. lol Now I have to figure out how to download them. OK, I'll try them as a gif. If this works, I'll add more later.

Given the chance, AI will destroy originality.
Well on Facebook just about every image in the doom-scroll feed has been "enhanced" to where the old photos look plastic, and over-upscaled to death. I'm guessing younger people who didn't see the original images growing up will just think that that's how things appeared back in the past.

Could you elaborate on what you mean by this. I feel like AI gives us the opportunity to be much more creative. Art has evolved all through the centuries. Just think what it was like when the electric guitar hit the scene. :)
IMO the electric guitar caused music as an art form to DEvolve.
Folk acoustic innocence of youth lost...no longer were words heard ... romantic songs replaced by hate.

Looking back on the posts here talking about the release of o1 at OpenAI, I forgot to note that OpenAI is currently working on o3 (the name o2 was taken). It's the next logic model. It is scheduled to be released in 2025. According to the hype, it ranks equivalent to the top #175 competitive coder in the world.
