All Goats, All The Time

Oh my goodness! Imagine looking out the window seeing all the goats.
I actually did about a year after we moved here to rural NM. Not as many -- about a half dozen and not as unexpected because we live rural rather than suburban. i'd set up a bird feeding station too low and a neighbor's goats saw it as a buffet. In part to protect the goats from injury or totally wandering off i put the feeder higher.

But in the years since i've had various livestock from various neighbors visit. Sometimes one or two at a time, sometimes enough at once the neighbors come for them. When it's just 1 or 2 i usually just tell them to go home by dark so their people won't worry and they usually do.

Our male goat "Ghost" is a great goat. He is very smart and sensitive. He also likes to play with us ...he charges at us and play butts. :) Yesterday we were cleaning off the goat shed of a large walnut branch, he walked up to me while I was making a kindling pile. It was just to be near me...he stayed and I worked. :)
