All Things Relating to Christmas

@Murrmurr I have cats too. I have better luck with Alpine trees. The really skinny ones with a wood trunk.
The branches are too skinny for them to park their fat fannies up in there. I dont put my breakable ornaments on those trees.
Just remember to put stuff around the trunk so they dont try to use it for a scratching post. BTDT. :D

If your wife wants to safely display her ornaments this is one of the ways I do mine. Pick an archway or a window etc that you can span with a tension rod. Wrap you garland around the rod and put it across. Hang your ornaments on the garland. You can do lights too or not.

Our tree is artificial.

And I'm not really mad at Charlie. I expected he'd be messing with the tree, I just didn't expect him to be so thorough about it. 😛

He's a stinker, and the reason we didn't go with the traditional ball ornaments. They're those old super-thin glass ones, and knowing Charlie, he'd have tasted one after breaking it. ...because he's also a pig.

(Maybe you can see why I named him Charlie....)

I wonder what the reaction would have been had Mom and I decorated our caboose in the logging camp with a mass of lights. Of course in those days all that were available were 20 to 60 watt incandescent bulbs. Some of the loggers might have enjoyed it but the Supt would have had a fit.🎅

I can see why you named him Charlie. All my trees are artificial. They just have wood trunks.
Real trees area PITA. Still finding dead needles in July.

As many of you know, we don't celebrate Christmas, but I still enjoy seeing the pretty decorations and in this case, the gift wrapped packages.

This was in the lobby of our timeshare.

This display at the restaurant where I saw my friend perform was much taller than me.

And this is an internet photo I think is very pretty.
