Am I the first for this Chirstmas treat?

I am proud to report that I have purchased and eaten my first box of chocolate covered cherries. It is something I just can't resist. Of course it wasn't that long ago you could get a box for .99 cents. Now they can run up to four dollars a box and instead of twelve you get 10.

I used to hide them in my closet or I would never get any. When my son was little he would get a knife or fork and dig out the cherry. Put them back in the box, leaking everywhere, and think I would not notice. I guess that is a good thing, he is married, in his own home and has to destroy his own chocolates.

What is your favorite sweet Christmas treat?

Our favorite is a simple cream cheese poundcake. Don't like pumpkin pie and making a chocolate goody is too time consuming.

My favorite Christmas treat is Pecan Pralines.

I don't know if everyone considers them a "Christmas treat", but I do because my favorite aunt made them for me every year as a Christmas gift.

Husband & the sons like chocolate covered cherries.

I'll settle for a good fruit cake or homemade divinity.

Whipped egg whites & melted brown sugar till they 'set.
Mom called it ''Sea Foam".

I learned how to make the Sea Foam but I would probably eat them all.
A big 'no 'on, 'no, at this stage of life.

I bought two more boxes yesterday, I was surprised to see that my Walnart dropped the price to 1.97 a box, The price at CVS was 4.99 a box, Isn't funny (or not) that things vary in price from one store to another!

I would be happy to share but my pups are not allowed this treat. They do however have fresh green beans and little carrots. They get those while I get the candy!!

Blessed, at my walmart yesterday they had chocolate covered cherries 50 % off,I grabbed 4 boxes to freeze. I get up to check out and they rang up .98¢ that is more than 50 % off. I am so happy!!!
